Hello peanut butter lovers! Thank you all for the comments on yesterdays postage…let me know if any of you try the pancakes, I’d love to hear what you think!
Today I had a craving, and since I listened to my craving yesterday and the results were “fruitful” (pun totally intended), I thought I’d do the same today.
Remember that tin of mix nuts I was grazing on the other day?
Well, this is what I was left with today…
Now they’re in the food processor…muhahahaha!
Now they look like mushy couscous…
And now they look like perfection!
Hmm, what to do…what to do…what to do…
Told ya that rubber spatula comes in handy! ๐
Maple Cinnamon Peanut Butter: (yields just over 1/2 cup)
- 1 cup roasted and salted peanuts
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 tablespoon canola oil (without it, your peanut butter will not be creamy)
1. Process the peanuts in a food processor until smooth, occasionally scraping down the ย ย ย ย sides.
2. Once mixture is smooth, add syrup, cinnamon, and oil and process just to combine.
3. Enjoy!
I made a small batch due to the amount of nuts I had on hand, but feel free to double the recipe for more peanut butter lovin’!
Well, I’m off to take my peanut-butterful belly to bed! Hope you guys have a great rest of the night…oh, and Happy First Day of Spring! Yay! ๐
What would your homemade peanut butter have in it?
Mmmmmmmmmmm looks so yummy!!!!!! Love this!!! I need to make some homemade PB! Hope your day was great! xo
I’ve made almost that exact recipe! So good!
I had a maple syrup a-thon today too =) What a fun combo — I would have never though to combine them… but obv I have to now! delish!
i think you and christin are giving me a sweet tooth……
jerk =)
You a sweet tooth? Ut-oh! I’m sorry that I’m not sorry! It’s good for ya! ๐
My homemade peanut butter would have chocolate chips ๐ Or raisins just bc I’ve become obsessed with PB&C Cinnamon Raisin flavor pb. It’s definitely my favorite. Btw what food processor do you use? I am on the hunt for one ๐
Oh my gosh, that is my FAVORITE peanut butter! I just found some in the store the other day after not being able to find it for months! I snatched that sucker off the shelf quicker than you can say “nut butter addiction”! ๐
Mine is a Black & Decker Power Pro II…got it on sale at Target a few years ago.
I just saw it on Amazon, 6 for $17 O_O I’m buying it asap!
Holy hell! Whata deal!
I have 2 mini rubber spatulas just for that reason! That looks wayyyy to good. It got better and better with each pic-so jealous-care to share some? I’ll bring my own spatula!
Haha! Nice! C’mon over darlin!
Homemade peanut butter always looks amazing!!! My homemade PB would have to have white chocolate!!!!!
that looks so amazing! i believe i have never tried anything else than regular peanut butter, but then again, all the time i lived in Poland (24 years) i didn’t even know what real peanut butter was, it’s (or at least was) unavailable in Polish shops. now i eat it occasionally (because i shouldn’t eat it too often) and i found a brand that makes super super creamy PB. hope to try (or make!) some different kinds one day!
I never really gave peanut butter (or any nut butter for that matter) a second thought until I got into reading blogs…now it’s like a full blown addiction! I can’t go more than a day without it I swear! Thanks for letting me know that I should never live in Poland! ๐
Next week on spring break, I’m sooooo making peanut butter! yum!
Ohhh, spring break…what’s that? ๐
yea, what a good way to clean the pantry!! You should sell this stuff now. Its probably 10x better than real pb.
I make homemade peanut butter all the time. But for some reason I never make different flavors. I really want to make this though. I love maple syrup, I love cinnamon, and I love peanuts! could not go wrong ๐
Every time I see someone making homemade nut butter, I am reminded that I really need a new food processor. Mine never gets creamy at all even if I use oil. I think the blade is really dull.
Hmm, wonder if it would be more cost effective to replace the processor or just buy a new blade…too bad you can’t sharpen them! ๐
That looks great! I just made some vanilla cinnamon pecan butter…so good!
Ohmigosh that sounds amazing!! And my address is… ๐
I love maple in mine too! Honestly, anything goes in homemade nut butters! I love creating new things all the time. This one looks perfect!
Yum, this recipe looks great. I love peanut butter! I think I’d like to make some coconut peanut butter soon ๐
HUBBA HUBBA BUBBA!! AHH i love mapley taste- and have never tried it with peanuts!! gotta be a great combo!! hmm mine would have chocolate!!… i so wish i could make white choc wonderful!! (vegan though..)
Yum! I am actually eating Oats with peanut butter and maple syrup (and chia and flax cuz I gots to be healthy) and it’s the perfect marriage. It started with my craving pancakes with my favorite topping – peanut butter and maple syrup and led to me making oatmeal instead because I am too lazy today ๐ Great minds think alike!
Sounds like a great lazy girl breakfast to me! My ex used to top his pancakes with pb and syrup all the time, but I always thought it was so gross looking that I never tried it! Now that I’ve had this pb, I’m thinking I’ll give it a go!
I’m Canadian, so we like Maple Syrup with anything. Peanut Butter and MS is the perfect salty/sweet combo ๐ YUMMY!
Ahhhh, so tasty! Why, oh why is my food processor so weak? I’m considering splurging on a nice one just to make nut butters ๐
I literally have no words for how delicious that looks!!!!!!
I still haven’t made my own nut butter…I need to! I’d probably start of simple, but eventually I would add honey or maple. And maybe some texture at the end?
Oh yes! I love PB&Co’s Cinnamon Raisin Swirl…love all the raisin “surprises” mixed in!
Um, that just looks seriously amazing!

Um, can I get a hell to the yes!? Also, Alex was reading over my shoulder and was super amused by your use of the word “grazing.” ๐
