Hey peoples!
Wow, today has seriously flown by…I can’t believe I’m just now sitting down to blog!
So I ended up going out last night…
After an all-day laundry marathon (yeah, that’s what happens when you never fold your clothes from the week BEFORE), I thought about just ditching all the clothes and bringing back the toga.
That thought actually ended up giving me great inspiration for my costume!
I went to Walmart with an idea…15 minutes later I walked out with this:
Flat sheet and Christmas tree ribbon
And of course a few accessories:
FYI, the Hard Candy Glow face & body bronzer is ahhhhmazing!
Ironing, scissoring, and bronzing commenced upon my arrival at the house.
30 minutes later:
The ribbon had about half a dozen configurations before I finally decided to just wrap it around my waist.
I had an absolute blast…I almost forgot how much I love costume parties…I might start going out in costume every time I go out from now on.
Lady Gaga does it! 😉
So you’re probably wondering about the title of this post, huh?
Well, this is what I woke up to this morning:
Allow me to introduce to you what I like to call “mancakes”
All the same ingredients as a pancake only with a rugged manly look to them! 😉
My guy friend found out about my love for pancake breakfasts and did his best to put a smile on my face this morning. And without any measurements, a 5 minute fight with the skillet after the chocolate chips acted like gorilla glue, and an emergency syrup substitute, I have to say he was successful!
One strawberry and one chocolate chip
Drizzled with peanut butter thinned with milk.
Regardless of appearances, as much as I LOVE making pancakes for breakfast, it’s also nice to sit back and have them made for me! 🙂
Do you usually buy your costume outright or make something up yourself?
I love forcing myself to get creative when it comes to costumes. I’ve been known to walk into a thrift store without a thought in mind and end up walking out with a couple (super cheap) items that turn into a great costume! I was excited that I was able to get all the stuff for my costume last night all for around 20 bucks!
That was going to be my Halloween costume too! Until I got sick and was bed ridden for the weekend. You look great though! 🙂
And I love the mancakes haha. What a sweet guy, and such a cook 😉
Thanks Sarah…and I hope you’re feeling much better after resting up!
Love your costume…especially that ring. I usually always make my costume, but this year I caved and bought mine. Creating one is always more fun though!
I am loving that rose ring! 🙂
pretty impressive for a last minute costume! i miss the days of college and sorority parties with fun themes. but halloween is probably enough for me now. ew, i sound so old.
Haha, I know! This was my first time going out for Halloween in YEARS! I forgot how much fun dressing up can be…now I want to go out every weekend in some sort of costume! 😉
