After I woke up from my night shift on Monday morning, I had a serious craving for eggs…but more specifically I wanted
That would be a spinach Flat Out wrap slathered in nooch sauce (just nutritional yeast thinned with a bit of water) and then stuffed to the brim with arugula, alfalfa sprouts, tomatoes, and of course two of the most provocative eggs the farmer’s market could provide! 😉
After I used the wrap to mop up each and every bit of that warm yellow goodness, I headed off to the gym.
As far as my workout went…for our food AND fitness theme, I’ve been loving the elliptical even more than usual these days. I always just jump on, hit manual, and get swinging, but lately I’ve been experimenting with the customizable HIIT workout programs. Oh yes, I said customizable!
Which is apparently code for “kick your own ass” 😉
I was DRENCHED after this workout and it was only 2o minutes long…even my forearms were sweating! LOL
Once I got back home, I whipped myself up a little snack to refuel my tired muscles before heading into work for another shift.
Now, I know air popped popcorn is no well kept secret or anything, but I swear I just wasn’t doing it right in the past…for this batch, I drizzled a bit of melted coconut oil overtop, put it in a bowl with some cocoa powder and cinnamon and…
Shook the hell out of it!
Oh my god, soooooooooooooooooooooooo good!
I also made myself a little chocolate frosty…which is just an extra thick protein shake (more ice, less water), but don’t you think calling it a “frosty” makes it so much more appealing?
And I may or may not have made it even MORE delicious by combing the two:
C’mon, you guys already know that I’m weird…

Dinner was packed up and ready to go in a matter of minutes thanks to a bit of pre-chopping I did after coming home from the farmer’s market on Saturday.
Arugula salad with sprouts (that are hiding under there somewhere), zucchini, red bell pepper, okra, lox, and crumbled feta cheese along with a cup of fresh strawberries and a lemon for squeezing over my salad.
Citrus and seafood were meant to be together!
And since I skipped out on my daily cup when I first woke up, I took advantage of the turn-in-your-empty-bag-for-free-coffee thing at Starbux!
If only I had known they had the brew set to “hot molten lava”…I didn’t even get to take a sip until after it cooled down…an hour later!
Snackage throughout my shift (along with my FitMixer aminos that I had pre-workout) were a tasty mix:
I’m totally digging these Gnu Cinnamon Raisin Bars…a tad bit sweet for me, but just the right size and FULL of fiber that I was surprised to find had no…ahem, consequences!
After my shift and BEFORE I face planted into my pillow, I kept it simple with a quick bowl of cereal:
Brown rice crisps mixed with Trader Joe’s pecan praline granola topped with bloobies!
Mmm, how can something so simple taste so good?

You are flipping adorable and I swear if I was ever successful at making any kind of wrap, I’d totally make that spinach egg wrap. In fact, I debated it the other night for dinner and got scared away and went back to an omelet (aka egg pancake because I can’t successfully make omelets either) inside of a flat bread. It was good but no food porn. 😉
that wrap is to. die. for. I would die if I didn’t want to live bad enough so that I could go and make it. Arugula, sprouts, tomatoes and eggs…..mmmmmmmm….dying!

Heather! Thanks so much for your comment on my blog- so glad you found me :)! Love your blog and it’s left me with a huge hankering for eggs, runny yolks especially! Nice going on the workout- I always think that running will give me a better cardio workout than the elliptical but totally going to try out the latter with intervals thrown in the mix tomorrow! Speaking of workouts, mine for today was a lower body weights session…it’s safe to say that the combination of barbell lunges & step ups have killed my quads!

Mmm eggs.. gosh they are so tasty! There were years that I spent only eating the whites because I feared the yolks… sigh, all of the wasted time! Ha well now I just have to make up for it by having them whenever I want 🙂
The best thing I’ve eaten lately is sweet potatoes in a variety of recipes. My latest workout was a 5 mile tempo run. Call me crazy but I get the distinct impression that you like eggs 🙂

Mmm I love runny fried eggs! It’s weird because I used to barely even eat eggs, but lately I’ve been obsessed!
The best thing I ate yesterday was a Nicoise salad – so many awesome flavours in it! And my last workout was actually on Sunday when I did a 2 mile run and a back workout. I’ve been taking a rest from exercise since then though because my body has been feeling so fatigued and sore lately! I hope a few days off is all it needs to get back to normal.

I’m probably one of the few people on WIAW who doesn’t like runny dippy eggs lol – but, even still, that breakfast wrap looks phenomenal! 🙂

Haha bloobies. That’s an awesome written-out way of it. And putting popcorn in your shake isn’t weird, my thing I was obsessed with 2 years ago was putting pretzels in vanilla yogurt and eating it like that. Or just dipping it. Oh my god, the best thing ever. My friends didn’t think so. Even my mom thought I was weird, haha.
My grandpa used to drop popcorn into his milk then eat it out with a spoon…I guess it’s not so uncommon after all!

Haha! Love your witty posts! So cool you had popcorn on your list of eats this week too! Your cocoa/cinnamon combo sounds delicious! The best thing I’ve eaten week was probably a healthy chocolate cupcake. It required little sugar and was gluten-free…allowing me to stuff my face sufficiently.

The best thing I “ate” today was a smoothie from the gym 🙂 My workout was the stationary bike for 30 minutes (4 miles) and then I went to the pool to work on my arms.

I do the same thing with my popcorn!! We can be weird together. I have never had a drippy egg though… maybe you need to break me in!
Never ever had a drippy egg?!?! Oh honey, your life has not yet been made complete! A definite MUST…and might I suggest some good toasty bread to go along with it for mopping up the excess? Take two and call me in the morning! 😉
That popcorn looks delightful! My siblings and I used to melt butter and cinnamon and sugar together and drizzle it over our popcorn. Very dessert-y and yummy! 🙂

AHH! I love my eggs runny like that! It was the worst when I was pregnant and all I wanted was buttered toast dipped in runny yolks, but I couldn’t eat any. :'(
I’ve never had eggs in my wrap but guess what I had for lunch today 😀 sooo delicious!!
