But {obviously} that’s no ordinary slice of pizza…

That’s DESSERT pizza on a sweet crust made from…CAULIFLOWER!

Strange But Good S2TT

Oh yeah, it’s freaky #strangebutgood Friday time!

Be sure to hop on over to Laura’s blog at Sprint 2 the Table and check out all the other curious concoctions my fellow weird foodies have created this week! πŸ™‚

And speaking of Laura, not only did I get a chance to frolic around the better delicious part of Atlanta with her last weekend, but she also inspired me to create today’s recipe.

Have you tried her Cauliflower Pizza Crust?Β Well, if you haven’t, you should…because it’s flippin’ delicious…and THEN you can make mine for dessert!

Dessert doesn’t get cleaner than THAT, folks! πŸ˜€

Sweet Cauliflower Pizza Crust EdgeThe texture is tender and chewy…kind of like an oatmeal cookie, but this is definitely NO crumbly cookie!

And you can’t even TELL there’s veggies hidden inside…I promise!

Now, the only question that remains is WHAT to top it with?

Chocolate Pomegranate Dessert Pizza 1

Maybe you’re feeling like some chocolate?

Topped withΒ eggfruit puddingΒ (dark chocolate puddingΒ would also be great), pomegranate seeds, coconut, and almonds.

Lemon Blueberry Dessert Pizza

Or perhaps your feeling kinda fruity?

I’m gonna try making a S’mores one – regular base, marshmallow flavour greek yoghurt, chocolate sauce + cracker crumbs! πŸ˜€

  13. Wow! They’re all so pretty and looks so delicious. Fantastic idea!

  14. DUDE. This is SO up my alley!!
I have a container of shredded cauliflower in my freezer, just waiting to be used! This would be PERFECT. (And I LOVE the nutritional stats!!)
    Genius, my dear weirdo.

  15. Your creativity never fails to amaze me! πŸ˜€

I actually made a dessert pizza for a project back in 6th grade… but it used a graham cracker crumb crust and whipped cream mixed with jam for sauce plus fruit and chocolate drizzled on top, so it wasn’t quite as healthy as these haha. These days I would definitely go the banana + chocolate + almond butter route for topping my pizza!

  16. How odd, but looks good! Thanks for sharing all your fun variations :).

  17. Lisa says:

Your crust looks perfect! You are too creative I love it.
This is definitely a strange combo, but I’m pretty sure I would love it!

    xx Kait

  22. So I’m pretty sure I know what you did with your cauliflower. These definitely look strange, but they also look really good. I might, just might have to try this crust sometime in the very near future. I can’t even decide which one looks better; they all look so good.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

But wait! I bought another one! And while I’m tempted to make a dozen more of these things, your soup is DEFINITELY happening!! πŸ˜€

  23. Carrie says:

Oh man, this has reminded me of my all-time favourite treat, DQ Treatzza Pizza. All it needs is a hearty layer of vanilla Greek yogurt, a sprinkling of Smarties, and a couple of hours in the freezer. I’m so making this.

  24. I have not tried cauliflower crust yet [I know, shame on me] but now I definitely wanna try it! These sweet little pizza pies would be fabulous for breakfast πŸ™‚

  25. Such an amazing idea..particularly like the look of the last one!

  27. Oh my goll, I have GOT to get on board this train. I wanted to just dive in and lick my screen. (Of course, I wish I had that thing like Wonka does in his factory where I can reach in and actually pull what I’m seeing out of the monitor and eat it…)

I’m thinking some of the carob-date ‘fondue’ I made last night at my Whole Foods cooking class, plus drizzly homemade roasted maple peanut butter, fresh pears, extra cinnamon, and SPRINKLES!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Omg woman, you’re KILLING me!! Like seriously, my eyes just practically BUGGED OUT!! And now? NOW I’m drooling all over myself! Thank you…thank you VERRRRRRRY much! πŸ˜›

If I had one of those little Wonka things, I would surely be 300 pounds! Bahaha! I’d have to set parental controls on my computer to detour me from specific (food) porn sites! πŸ˜‰
