Flashback Friday: Sisterly Love

Happy Friday blogger boys and blogger girls! We’ve made it to yet another weekend!

I loved reading everybody’s odd nut butter combos after yesterday’s What Goes Up, Must Come Down post! LooksΒ like a lot of you claim the ever popular carrots and peanut/almond butter, but I think Jessica takes the cake with the most unusual combo: PB&J with BBQ tofu sandwiches! I am SO curious about that one!

So tonight, my sister is coming over for our first sister sleepover at the new house! I’m just typing up this quick post before she gets here so we can take some pics like this:

Be afraid, be VERY afraid!

It’s hard to believe, but Tori and I used to NEVER get along as kids! We are 8 years apart and never seemed to understand each other. It wasn’t until I moved out of the house and started college at 18 that we started to develop a friendship. Now we are the best of friends and I don’t think there is another woman out there that gets me quite like her!

She’s such a good sport about things too! Whether I’m tricking her into eating tofu or making her pose for a million shots before her senior prom:

And because we can’t help it

She can always make me laugh

She’ll do just about anything with me in public

And she’s the best vacation mate ever!

Even if we do get horribly sunburned!

But…

my proudest moment?

Ahhh, love to my blogger heart! πŸ˜‰

And what is she taking a picture of?

Her very first Salad Beast!

Hope you guys have a fantastic Friday night! “See” you tomorrow!

Do you have any siblings? Do you have traditions or silly things that you do whenever around each other?

  5. Aww, I love your sisterly love! I have an older sister. We get along best when we’ve been apart for a while. After too long together we start hating each other. Except in a sisterly love kind of hate πŸ˜›
Have an awesome weekend together! And don’t fear the BBQ Tofu PB & J! πŸ˜‰

I still don’t get along with my two sisters and we’re all out of adolescence (well, except me). I guess that’s what unconditional love is all about!
Have a WONDERFUL time with your sibling! xx

aw, what a sweet post! sisterly love is SO important! Two years ago my sister moved to Florida (from our home town in CT) and I was so devastated… but, if anything, our relationship only grew closer (thank you facebook!) and it gave me an excuse to go down south on vacays! you both are beautiful πŸ™‚

  10. I have two brothers and they are just great! Lots of weird traditions, I am trying to get them on my blogging boat but they have yet to join πŸ™‚

  18. the salad beast looks so awesome and tasty!

i have two brothers – and it’s been super awesome to see my little brother learn to love green smoothies (so much so he even bought his very own blender!!)

    • Oh wow! That IS something! I’ve sneakily gotten my sis to try tofu and now salad beasts, but I might need to roll up my sleeves a bit on the green smoothie! If I could just blindfold her… πŸ˜‰

  19. My sister is 15 years older than me, so it took a while for us to be able to be on a level too. She lives in Washington state and I don’t get to see her nearly often enough!
