As a kid, I was a pretty picky eater.
Brussels sprouts smelled like farts, coconut made me think of eating hair, and meat took WAY too long to chew. Basically, if it wasn’t battered and fried, covered in ketchup, or had a cartoon character on the outside of the box, I wanted nothing to do with it. Luckily as I grew up, I started giving the foods on my “yuck” list another try and by the time I discovered blog world in 2010, I was pretty open to trying anything.
I’m a curious person by nature. For the most part, I live by the “try everything once twice” motto and over the last few years, I’ve become quite the adventurous foodie. I’m also a lover of lists…or should I say checking things OFF lists…so when I found this little gem on Facebook one day, and realized I’d only tried about a third of the items, I knew I had some work to do! I’ve been ticking off items steadily for the last year or so but I figured now that I’ve hit the halfway mark, it’s time to share…

Are you an adventurous foodie?
What items would you try and which ones are deal breakers?
I’m 68/100! Crickets are probably the weirdest one I’ve had, while I draw the line at trying durian…I had plenty of opportunity in Southeast Asia but the smell is truly vomitrocious. Couldn’t get past it!
Oh god, I had no idea! Scratch that one off the list for sure! I don’t even know how some people can eat those seriously stinky cheeses! Lol
