Spring a Ding Ding!

What uuuuuuup?

How’s everyone feeling today? Good? Great? Fantastic? If not, you should becaaaaaaaaaaause…

Woo HOO! I thought the day would never get here! And though it’s been raining on and off for most of the week and I hate it because it makes my hair look like an unkempt poodle, but damn, I’ll take rain over snow ANY day!

Besides, even with the gray skies and sporadic showers, I’ve been able to enjoy more and more time outside which means…

Green Smoothie

Lounging on the front steps sipping a now socially acceptable green smoothie…

New Shoes

Taking my BRAND NEW kicks for a walk at the park…

American Wife Book

While enjoying a WHOPPER of a romance novel (note to self: books over 400 pages are a little tedious to walk with but can I just say, I really think I’m boosting my inner bookworm’s ego. I may even start reading Game of Thrones next! 😯 )…

Grilling Out

♫ Grillin’ out maxin’ relaxin’ all cool! ♫

Oh yeah, I just busted out some Fresh Prince. Don’t pretend like you don’t know the rest of the song. And if you’re too young to know what I’m talking about, PUHLEASE for the love of all things holy, Google that shit!

So yeah, yesterday I got my grill on with some steaks, asparagus and some amazing red potato salad picked up from the local butcher’s market. Enjoyed with a glass of wine, some music and the best of company, it was the perfect way to ring in the new season!

Well, since I’ve waited until the last-minute to get this post up, I’m afraid I’m gonna have to cut it short since I have to leave for w0rk like riiiiiight NOW! Please, enjoy this song from Marian Hill in my absence. Perhaps you recognize that sick beat in the background?  It’s has been featured on Taco Bell’s new Siracha burrito commercials! Gotta love it when my music sneaks into the minds of the unknowing! Lol

I hope you all have a great weekend, enjoy some good weather, and hum this song for the rest of the night! 😉

What is your favorite springtime flower?

Anyone else on a green smoothie bender right now?

  1. I love daffodils. I can’t wait for the ones in our yard to come creeping out. Any day now, although I did see chives peeking today. So much excitement for little green stalks.

Perfect way to kick off the spring. Read GoT. Worth it.

Haha! I forgot that I wrote that in this post. Hmm, that serves as a reminder that I shouldn’t wait a MONTH to reply to all my comments, huh? FAIL! I still haven’t started it yet…I’m stalling with a small book that I’m REreading while telling myself that I’m prepping my mind for the big one! Lol

  2. Still peeing myself at the lady who brought my own fan….mostly because she’s borderline genius!

Eat some steak for me! We’re about to “embrace” the cold.

  3. “shootin’ some b-ball outside the school, when a couple of guys who were up to no good started making trouble in my neighbourhood…”

Yeah I’ve been known to bust out the entire lyrics to that song when I’ve had a few too many to drink haha. 😉

Spring can’t make up its mind here! It was like 45 degrees F here yesterday but today it’s supposed to be below freezing. Ughhhh!

Haha! Love it! The lyric spouting…not the weather! It’s been kinda weird around here lately even still. All this week, it was in the 80’s but today, it only got up to 60-something. Not cold, but sure felt like it after four days of faux summer.

  4. We keep going back and forth between hovering around the freezing mark and shooting up 15 degrees C. If spring just wants to keep sticking to the latter, that would be fantastic 😉

Also, I’m going home in a week and a half and I’m basically going to make my dad grill ALL THE THINGS.

  5. Gosh, I am so freaking excited that Spring is finally here!! I seriously wanna be out ALL THE TIME. Good thing my TRIP starts soon and I can do what the hell I want and not sitting in the office!
Snowdrops are my favorites! They are the first to pop out and I am always SO excited when I see them, cause I know f****ng winter will be gone soon.

Ohhh, pretty! I just looked them up. I’ve never seen them before. That reminds me…I went on a long walk today and have several pictures of flowers that I need to Google! Lol

I hope you have fun on your trip girlie! And good luck packing that suitcase! I’ll sit in it…er, I mean ON IT if you need me to! 😉
