Saved By the Bloggers!

Hey guys! Happy Pancake Sunday for the LAST time at the old casa…and I mean that this time! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I spoke with the realtor last night and she got me all anxious to see the house again. The appliances are installed and the hardwood floors/carpet has been placed. She told me that the stain I chose looks perfect and compliments the kitchen cabinets really well! We have a meeting planned for Tuesday after I get off work to do the final walk through of the house before closing! I can’t wait to see it!

For this week’s Pancake Sunday celebration, I got a little help from my girl Janetha! I bookmarked her 3 Ingredient Pumpkin Protein Pancakes MONTHS ago and today was the perfect day to try them out since a.) I’m out of eggs and milk and b.) I packed the baking soda and powder (oops!).

These seriously cannot get any easier guys and they taste like they’re made from scratch!

All you need for your own pumpkin pancake lovin’!
+
cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice (spices don’t count as ingredients, right?)

And since I’m a sucker for add-ins…raisins!

Topped with Maple Cinnamon Peanut Butter thinned with a little water

Doesn’t this look like a HEAB shot?

The perfect breakfast to fuel the last full day of packing!

I am proud to say that I really can’t think of anything else that needs to be done around this place until it’s time to load it all on the truck! I moved all the boxes out into the garage yesterday and today I cleaned/vacuumed the rooms that are now empty…talk about a workout! I forgot how much vacuuming the entire house can get your heart rate up! Whew!

After all that work, I decided to reward myself with this:

Haha! Just kidding! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have a friend at work that is always requesting chocolate goodies. I promised him that I would bring something in with me tomorrow, but with a limited pantry supply, baked goods were not an option. Then I remembered my can of coconut milk in the cupboard…HEAB to the rescue with herย 2 Ingredient Chocolate Fudge!

That my friends would be 1 Lindt 90% bar, 1 Ghiradelli 72% bar, what was left of the TJ’s semi-sweet chocolate challets (65%), and a dark chocolate bar from my favorite purple bird. Then, I realized I was still a little short, so…

Yes, those are dark chocolate Hershey kisses leftover from Christmas…no shame!

The aftermath

Step 1

Step 2

Step 3

Step 4…ok, so maybe I just threw that one in there! ๐Ÿ˜‰

All ready to chill with Frio!

I’m thinking if I go ahead and cut it into squares, no one will know if I sneak a piece or two! Shhh! Our little secret!

Speaking of secrets, a little secret of mine is that I rarely ever choose the title of my post until the end…now that I’ve titled it, I can’t get the intro song to Saved By the Bell out of my head! Haha!

What was your favorite show growing up?
I was such a TV junkie when I was younger…Saved By the Bell, Full House, Boy Meets World, oh and remember Blossom? Haha! I used to love listening to Six talk!

  1. I love super easy recipes like these! I bookmarked the pancakes! after the pumkin rocked my muffins… how could i not try these?! duh.

hooray last pancake sunday at ze old casa!!!! keep me updated on everyyyything! =)

  2. I usually don’t choose my post title until the end either! Mainly because I want it to be somewhat creative, so I don’t want to “give it away” by my post title! Those pancakes look delish!!

who needs a cookbook when you have such creative bloggers, right? I want that terra protein. Looks like its so good to cook with!
    And Blossom, LOVED IT!!!

  4. That pile of chocolate looks like it could/should be eaten straight. I love mixing different kinds of chocolates in recipes.

  5. How is Tara’s whey? Any good? I usually use SunWarrior.

  6. Mandiee says:

Pumpkin pancakes are my favorite kind! Yum, yum :). I wouldn’t blame you if by some miracle, a little of the chocolate disappeared. As if the chocolate covered strawberries weren’t tempting enough, who could resist a big pan of fudge!

    Have a lovely day!

  7. My sister went crazy over Saved By The Bell. Now you have that song stuck in my head! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  8. Awwwwe, you’re my favorite broccoli kisser. ๐Ÿ˜‰ xoxo

  9. I totally saw Six walking out of Wild Oats one day which is now Trader Joe’s. She was in town working on music or dating someone that lived here or something. I can’t remember, but she looked exactly the same. I was so excited b/c I loved Blossom back in the day.

I am so honored that one of your pics reminded you of one of mine. You know I think your photos are beautiful and that made me so happy to read especially since I dropped and broke my camera today. Heather, I am so bummed!!! I did want a new one, but truth be told, I loved that Canon point and shoot. Hoping to get it repaired.

Add-ins are totally necessary by the way, especially when raisins are involved, and I think I’m drooling over that bowl of chocolate. I could eat the whole thing right about now. Oh, and I never come up with a post title until after I’m done writing the post either. I never know what I’m going to say and so it just makes sense to title it after I’m done.

Good luck with the move!!! Let me know if I can help in any way – seriously. I could have used some cardio vacuuming action today. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • That’s awesome! I always think that I’ll never recognize a celebrity in real life. Or if I did, it would be like 20 minutes later that I would realize and I’d be like…wait, wasn’t that…?! Haha!

Aww, I totally understand what you mean. Not as nice as yours, but my point and shoot died after getting caught in the pouring down rain in Nashville on NYE and I totally miss it! It still takes pics…sometimes…but it makes the colors look funny. ๐Ÿ™ Hopefully you can get it repaired…and then you’ll have TWO cameras! But I know ou’re going to love your new DSLR! Maybe it’ll make you forget about little baby Canon! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  10. I didn’t watch a whoel lotta TV… when I was really young I was a Thomas the Tank Engine FANATIC (aka would wake up at 3 AM to watch it). But when I DID watch tv i LOVED boy meets world, full house, and growing pains…

  11. Boy Meets World was- and remains- one of my favorite shows! They replay them at 7 am on ABC Family, and last summer I taped every single one and watched them in order. LOVE that show!!

  12. THOSE PANCAKES LOOK AMAZING! Totally a HEAB shot right there foo sho ๐Ÿ˜‰

  13. Those pancakes look awesome. Mouth is watering, and I just finished breakfast, lol. And my vote is absolutely cut them first. No one will know and you’ll get to sample ๐Ÿ˜‰ That’s what I do if I make brownies or some sort of bar…otherwise I’m paranoid the one time I don’t sample something will be the time it tastes like…something bad. haha.
Congrats on the move! You must be relieved to have everything all packed up and ready to go…packing and unpacking = the worst.

    • I know what you mean! I get so nervous about serving people something I haven’t tried…like the last time (which was also the first time) I made a coconut cake. I was so worried what everybody would think! Luckily, it turned out well…so well that everybody had seconds!

  14. Love that fudge recipe, and those pancakes look great as well! I tend to title my post at the end as well. ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. The pancakes look amazing! Perfect Sunday fuel! Crap, you just aged me with those shows!

I’m glad you are feeling better! I hope you have a great week Heather!

  18. Ah! I just ran out of my vanilla Tera’s this morning! That’s what I get for telling Marshall how good it is.. he used the last of it. I am going to re-up and make these pancakes again soon. I loved all the shows you mentioned.. I think I have every episode of Full House and SBTB memorized. I have a title problem, too.

    Have a great week, xoxoxoxooooo

  19. Katie says:

Loving the pumpkin pancakes, those are one of my favorite flavored pancakes! I have been in a pancake mood! I might need to make some for breakfast soon!

i was raised without tv, but over the summer after swim practice we watched Popeye and richard scarry’s something or other. such nerds.

  22. Those were totally some of my favorite shows as a kid too! And I’m the same way, I don’t pick the title to my post until after I’ve written it. Mostly because most of the time I don’t know what I’m going to write until I’ve written it, haha!

  23. allieksmith says:

Your pancakes look wonderful ๐Ÿ™‚ Best of luck with your house!

  24. Mrs. Fish says:

    Um, I loved Blossom.
I had a Joey button that said “Whoa!” on it.
Sears even had a Blossom clothing line, and I so rocked some Blossom inspired clothes in the fifth grade.
Her older brother on the show, the EMT, was in a McDonald’s training commercial. I always loved showing it to the trainees. What for it, what for it, he’s from BLOSSOM. ๐Ÿ™‚
Off to youtube Blossom now….. ๐Ÿ™‚

I always know what I’m going to name my posts. They all start the same anyways…
    “The One With the___________”. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Haha! I forgot all about the clothing line! Ohhh, the memories!

And your blog should totally be named, “The One That Makes You Drool on Yourself!” I can’t get enough of your scone and muffin fever! ๐Ÿ˜‰
