Happy Birthday to My Mum!

What makes for a great birthday celebration?

Delicious eats?

New recipes?
(coming soon!)

Mom’s “swoon of approval” ?

Family time?

Lots of laughs?

(We’re such a serious family!) 😉

And lastly, wine that causes my mom and me to start talking in British accents?

(I totally bought this for the label!)

I’m gonna go with D.) All of the above!

😉

What is your favorite birthday memory?
Mine would have to be my 12th birthday…back in the day of the “beanie baby craze”! I had about 6 of my best friends and we spent the entire night (my poor mama) giggling, playing games, being loud, and eating a delicious spread of foods and snacks! And somewhere during the night, the beanie babies morphed into grenades and the living room became a warzone! Haha!

  2. Oh how fun! I don’t have a specific memory, just that we used to go to a Japanese restaurant every year for my birthday when I was a kid and I LOVED it! I hope my kids are loving the memories we are making for them. Enjoy your weekend!

Love the wine bottle, so cute!

My favorite birthday memory would be all of my birthday’s growing up, my parents made them so special! As I am older too, they are still so much fun! Mike really goes above and beyond to make my birthday special ; )

  4. Beanie baby grenades, haha! Awesome. And the name of your wine is even more awesome 😀

Happy Birthday BroccoliMum!! It obviously was a blast – anything involving Heather would have to be 😉
My 27th birthday was the best – my hubby gave me my one and only surprise party htat included family that I had no idea was in town. I was very surprised and I loved it. We had my very favorite – boiled shrimp!

And don’t get me started on the Beanie craze. I stupidly stood in line HOURS to get those suckers! But at least I did get one of the first Princess Di bears – just not sure what good it does me now. I have a giant tupperware filled with them and they just sit in the attic. Oh the crazy things we do.

I am totally digging those socks!

  6. Mine was definitely my sweet 16. It was a big surprise party and I had no clue! Such great memories.

oh my gosh, beanie babies!!!!!! <3 I loved!

My favorite birthday memory was my sweet 16. My parents had a surprise party for me at the local country club and it made me feel SO special! Definitely nothing like those parties you see on MTV, but it was enough to make me feel like a princess for the day 🙂

    p.s. I think you're family should just start a blog . Y'all are characters! 🙂

  13. You are *such* a sweet daughter- I’m sure your mom throughly enjoyed her day! I try to make my parents do what I like on their special days instead of what they’d want to do and eat. Can’t wait for the lovely recipes!

  15. This is super cute! Your family reminds me of my own. We always have a crazy fun time!

Has anyone ever told your mom that she looks like a famous actress? I can’t remember the lady’s name, but your mom really reminds me of her!
