Beautiful! My husband and I spent a day in Santa Cruz last August and we totally dug the vibe of the little town. We had a few hours to kill before a wedding in Los Gatos so we totally went hog wild at the pier on all the rides. It’s a beautiful little place. Looks like you found some real little dining gems!

  2. Gorgeous eats! This is such a tease πŸ˜›

  3. Lauren says:

Is that avocado on top of a smoothie?? Also, I hope you did not go on that ferris wheel. It looks like a death trap!

  4. katie says:

Ok, LOVE how you balanced out the fried oreos with carrot sticks! ha! You are too funny!

The bowl of yum with berries and avocado looks amazing!!!! Was it oats in there?!

    Happy Wednesday! xoxo <3

Oh yeah, life’s all about the balance, ya know! Haha!

The bowl was an acai smoothie…the BEST frickin’ smoothie to ever cross my lips! Supposedly they sell frozen acai pulp at WF so you can make your own at home…and it’s already on the shopping list! πŸ˜‰

  5. Ahhh, Santa Cruz! I live about a half hour away and used to LIVE at the Boardwalk during summertime! Did you go on the Big Dipper? Best little boardwalk, ever. <3

    • kissmybroccoli says:

We did go on the Big Dipper! The first time we rode in the middle and it was great, but after trying a ride in the very back, we both felt like we needed a trip to the chiropractor! That’s wooden roller coasters for ya! Haha!

  6. I love the looks of that cafe!! That last pic with the veg burger (I think!) looks soooo good. And deep fried oreos?! I would have liked to jump through the screen to steal a bite πŸ˜€

  7. Found you via WIAW… Are you still in town? I live in Santa Cruz! Haven’t been to these restaurants yet but they’re on my list!! What brings you out to California?

  8. Alexis says:

Ah everything looks like so much YUM! I’ve seen fried oreos but never tried them I guess it’s something on my “I really should give that a try” list!

  9. claudia says:

What are those delicious-looking fried-dough-chocolatey balls of goodnes!??! fried oreos, perhaps? I am insanely jealous.

  10. I’ve seen Cafe Gratitude on Natalie’s (Cinnamon Bum) blog before and it always looks so delicious!

  11. What.Is.That.Chocolate.Filled….Doughnut? Oh.Em.Gee!!!! Tell me where you had that and I will fly to Cali just to get it in my belly!

  12. Question- what is that delicious looking chocolatey treat?! I must have one!

  13. Ahh, I LOVE Santa Cruz! I’ve eaten at Cafe Gratitude too–great food! You get extra points for munching carrot sticks along with those chocolate balls of deliciousness (what are they?!). Hope you had a fabulous time!

  14. Wish that could be our day tomorrow– can it please? Just come back, why don’t you πŸ™‚ SO beats sitting in a plant and eco bio class and statistics. Arg.
I miss you, need I say more? πŸ™‚
PS, I’m making my OWN acai bowl for breakfast tomorrow and putting all the avocado and berries I want on it!

  15. oooh wow. I love the looks of whatever that purple fruit covered thing is. I love anything like that. Everything you had was so colorful and delicious looking. Even the fried oreos πŸ™‚
