Tastin’, Trippin’ & Tradin’

Hey there punkins!

I hope the week is treating you all well! On Thursday, I made an impulse decision and called to get an appointment for a massage…luckily I was able to slide into a spot TODAY and I swear, it was one of the BEST ones I’ve ever received!

This face should serve as proof:

Ahh, my body is jello!

Having the day all to myself last Thursday definitely helped to me unwind…actually, I think it gave me just the boost I needed! Since last week, my stress level has been SO much better and I’m pretty sure it has to do with an amazing weekend with BB!

After with our trip to the strawberry ranch on Saturday, we decided to stop in the local winery for a little tasting:

Honestly, we HAD plans after that, but let’s just say after you “taste” over half the menu, driving an hour to the lake is not the safest bet!

We ended up just chilling at the house for the rest of the night…saving up our energy for Sunday…

ROAAAAAAAD TRIP!

Yep, I get THIS excited about trips to Nashville that include grocery shopping. πŸ™‚

I went to the farmer’s market for one thing: To stock up on my
FROG preserves…

Unfortunately Fortunately, I came out with a few more items!

The orange date nut honey jelly is to.die.for!

And so is this amazing hand-popped kettlecorn!

Two cake batters (OMG!) for me and one spicy cajun for BB!

Hey, they were buy two get one free! πŸ˜‰

Next up, Trader Joe’s!

I made sure to grab my favorites (tempeh, firm tofu, hot & sweet mustard, fig butter, almond butter, and plantain chips), but I also picked up some new snackage and a couple of guilty pleasures (hello, chocolate overload!)

While I was grinding up the “limited edition” coffee (for some reason, I have a weakness for seasonal items), I spotted the vanilla chai-spiced coffee. You may have noticed it on my WIAW post…

Seriously people, if you like the flavor of chai spice, you’ve GOT to get your hands on some of this!

I am in luvvvvvvvvvvv!

After spending God only knows how long winding up and down the FOUR aisles at Trader Joe’s, BB and I were off to Whole Foods!

I really didn’t need anything, but how could I pass up a chance to oogle/stalk/sniff the hot bar?!

All new-to-me items…can’t wait to try the spinach fettuccine!

And guess what! When you oogle the hot bar with BB around, wishes come true!!

His & Hers

Notice his is the one filled to the brim with meat! πŸ˜‰

And speaking of meat, I just HAVE to show you what BB ending up coming home with at the end of the day…

Dried meat, meat in a can, meat rolled with cheese, seafood rolled with cheese, more seafood…oh yeah, and some nuts.

Hahaha!

And last but CERTAINLY not least, our trip ended with a stop by my favorite fro-yo shop!

Heaven forbid there ever be a franchise opportunity for a Sweet CeCe’s in Clarksville…I’ll be like 500 pounds…

Because as much as I love fresh fruit, I can never pass up the chance to load my cup with what looks like a unicorn explosion!

Lemon and vanilla swirl topped with unicorn entrails…aka Fruitty Pebbles cereal and SPRINKLES!!!

Yep, by the end of the day I was high on life…or maybe that was all the sugar…and I didn’t have a stressful thought in my head!

Are you a sucker for labels (closeout sale, limited time, etc)Β like me?

Tell me something about your week!
I’m still waaaaay behind in my blog reading and I feel like I’m missing out!

    You look relaxed πŸ™‚

CAKE BATTER KETTLE CORN…are you kidding me?! I need some now.

  8. I get way excited about our road trips to Trader Joes and WF- because it takes at least 40 min to get to the closest one! I will have to look out for that coffee- it looks GOOOOD.
I get a massage every other 2 weeks- it’s something I budget for (and mine are pretty cheap) and my body and mind feel so much better afterwards. It also speeds up muscle recovery BIG TIME.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

After this last one, I’ve decided it is NOW going to be part of my budget…I think I can part with a few unnecessary boxes of granola and tubs of hummus for a massage every once in a while! πŸ˜‰

  9. Trader Joe’s gets me every time! I love that place!
    And your face.
    And frozen yogurt.
Now I want all of them.
Yes I want your face <3

  10. Wait, so is that like an actual FROG? o.O

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Haha! No, it stands for Fig, Raspberry, Orange, and Ginger…and it’s only the best damn jam combo ever made!! πŸ˜‰

  11. Not gonna lie. Didn’t read all this post … because your photo after the massage cracked me up! Looks like it was veerrrrrrry relaxing.

    <3 have a great weekend!

  12. kris says:

totally myy kinda roadtrip πŸ™‚ – im sooo excited about the tj’s opening up near me. can’t wait to peruse those aisles!

btw, those plantain chips are addicting like pringles chips! – once you pop, you just can’t stop. well in my case that is…you may have more self control than me πŸ˜‰

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Ha! Me? Self control? Let’s just say I’m afraid to open the package! Lol

Woo hoo for a new TJ’s!! Prepare to lose yourself amongst those aisles for HOURS! πŸ˜‰

  13. FROG jam is the JAM! πŸ™‚

Loved your blue tongue pics from that kettle corn. That’s some good stuff… though I can’t say Ive ever had it in the shade of blue. Nicely done. πŸ™‚

  14. jealous. As usual. I’ve been thinking about getting a massage. Your jello fave has totally convinced me. I’m so excited to get my booty over to TJs are try that cookie butter and its chocolate counterpart. And then some plantain chips. Have you had their lentil curls? Um. BEST THINGS EVER> I think you’ll die.
Your froyo kind of does look like a unicorn explosion. Mine usually looks like a orchard.
You know me. I’m a huge sucker for deals and steals.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Ohhh, no I haven’t had those! I’ll have to scout it out next time I make a trip…and if they are as good as you say, I’ll probably hate you later for telling me of their existence! πŸ˜‰

I always say I’m going to have an orchard…and I always end up with a Willy Wonka explosion! Lol

And get yourself on a massage table girl! You deserve it!

  15. Robyn :) says:

I get excited about driving 2 hours to go to Whole Foods!! And now there is a Trader Joes out there, too πŸ™‚ I also like to put cereal on my Fro-yo.

This week I have been getting ready to go on my 3 week road trip to California and losing 25 pounds πŸ™‚ Ok, that took more like 2 months, but I reached that milestone this week! Plus increased my running time.

Hope you have a great week!!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

That’s incredible Robyn! Congratulations!!!!…on the weight loss AND the running time! A roadtrip, huh? What part of California are you going to see?

  16. I still want some of those FROG preserves so badly! Also, you snagged my favorite almond butter EVER at TJs, however, I have to say that I’ve noticed it makes my mouth super dry. I wonder if I have some sort of strange raw almond intolerance I don’t know about…

    • kissmybroccoli says:

I’ve noticed if I don’t keep it stirred up well, it does get really dry and flakey and seems to stick to the roof of my mouth more. This time, I stirred the heck out of it when I first opened the jar and haven’t had a problem…just work out some aggression on it! πŸ˜‰

  17. I am totally a sucker for labels!!! Who can pass up a great deal?!

  18. Kailey says:

so you have really pretty hair : )
Ohhh tell us how you like the pasta slim noodles – I’ve tried a lot of products like that but they are just too slimy for me.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Thank you Kailey! And I’ll definitely let you know about the noodles…here’s hoping it doesn’t feel like I’m swallowing worms! Eeeek!
