What DIDN’T I Eat Wednesday?!

Hey loves!

I hope you all enjoyed the holiday weekend! Mine was full of shopping, traveling, and of course TONS of good food!

Which is a good thing since it’s time to party!

Be sure to click here to show some love to our host, Jenn and check out the delicious link ups for this week’s What I Ate Wednesday!

The weekend started with the return of Pizza Friday!

And as always, the $4 pepperoni pizza was stripped and VEGGIFIED!

I went south of the border with the flavors this time, using one of my favorite Mrs. Dash seasonings…totally reminded me of Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza!

Throughout the weekend, I was sure to get my daily servings of fruits in each day…

Almond butter and PEACHES on cinnamon raisin bread, , cereal and fresh strawberries, and yogurt with cranberry acai granola (newest Whole Food’s bulk bin obsession) and BLACKBERRIES!

And for the record, the biggest cookie on that sampler plate is in fact LEMON sugar* and I’m sure there’s at least some trace of actual RASPBERRIES in that chocolate wine I spiked my coffee with! 😉

*More on that plate-o-goodness to come!

Like a lot of people, BB and I were out and about most of the weekend so our meals were eaten on the go, but they definitely did not disappoint…

Which Wich sub shop just came to Clarksville about a month ago and I have made it my life’s goal to try everything on the menu!

The other day, I went with a toasted chicken pesto with parmesan cheese, caramelized onions, tomatoes, pepperoncinis, red bell peppers, oregano, and garlic…SO good! And yes, I DID make them call out “Madonna” in the middle of a busy lunch hour! 😉

BB is making his way down the list of milkshakes they offer. This time he ordered the Oreo shake…which I decided needed to be “check for poison”…a couple of times! 😉

As much as I could seriously pop a tent outside this place and live off salads, sandwiches, and milkshakes for the rest of my life, BB was able to pry me away and distract me with BBQ…

We checked out a new-to-us place along the highway who claim to have the  “best BBQ ever”

It was cute, with decent prices, and our camera evading sandwiches WERE pretty tasty…but as far as being the BEST?

Eh, I wouldn’t go polishing that golden boar just yet.

On Sunday night, we went to visit some of BB’s family in Kentucky where there was definitely NO shortage of good food…

and good times…

Shooting lessons of the firearm AND pool variety…from now on, I will only answer to the name of Annie Oakley.

And yes that WOULD be my boyfriend about to tase himself but that’s besides the point…check out these cuties:

BB’s uncle’s new pup and 3 WEEK old kittens! OMG!

I’ve never really understood the phrase “You’re so cute I could just EAT you up,” but just for the record, no puppies or kittens were harmed in the making of this WIAW post! 😉

And if ALL those eats (minus the puppies and kittens) wasn’t enough for a long weekend, somehow I managed to find room for a handful of snackage just about every hour on the hour!

Honey mustard pretzel pieces, crunchy green beans that taste like straight up buttery deliciousness, trail mix with butter toffee nuts and dried pineapple (omg, yum!), cake batter kettle corn, AND gummy worms.

I’m such a sucker for sour gummies and with as many convenience store stops as we made this weekend, it was BOUND to happen!

What deliciousness did YOU get into this weekend?

What is your convenience store/gas station weakness?

Life’s dream = to go to a a proper American BBQ restaurant. One day, imma come crash your liiiife and allow you to feed me to your heart’s content. You’re welcome 😉

  2. So Annie Oakley – I want that Almond butter and peaches on cinnamon raisin bread. I’ll trade you some of my peach simple syrup I made this weekend for peach ice tea. 😉
Then tonight I topped the left over peaches on my cottage cheese. Yum! Looks like you are doing well. Eating well.

BTW, the term ‘best’ go you in their place. Their evil plan worked. Love the firearm pics.

Omg, DEAL!! When can we meet up for the trade?! 😉

I know…totally sucked in my the advertising! Boo!

  3. I ALMOST titled my WIAW the same thing. There is not enough food in the world for me right now.

You are my new hero – I have had the chocolate wine, but never thought to spike coffee with it. Genius, my friend.

  4. Jessica says:

I believe that every good weekend should contain at least one pizza night! Yours looks super tasty!

  5. Best idea ever with ‘Madonna’ I actually thought of doing that once. No idea why I didn’t though. and those cute animals are the right amount of cuteness. I can’t resist!
this weekend I made myself a pb&j and climbed a hill in a park with a friend for lunch. It was really perfect.

  6. There may have been a good amount of wine on Saturday for the bachelorette party…maybe. 😉

And what is that chocolate wine? DID I READ THAT RIGHT?!

  7. That pizza looks incredible!! It’s only 6am and I want pizza now!! 😉

  8. The pictures of the pup and kittens are too cute!

My gas station weakness are gummy candies.. or even JuJuBees. I can eat an entire movie theater box in one or two sittings!

  9. Was Which Wich featured on Eat St. on the Food Network? I swear I saw it on that show! I think I would die of happiness if I could eat there because I love sandwiches. They are the perfect food, IMO. 😀

My convenience store weakness is banana chips or Swedish berries. I can’t control myself around them!

  10. I want all those animals…and that pizza you made…and I want to start giving people every other name but my own when placing coffee or food orders. GENIUS.

  11. Omg your food looks totally delish! And almond butter, peaches and cinnamon? I am so gonna have to try that out but maybe on a pancake 🙂 My gas station weakness is gum. I shouldnt be chewing gum (aspartame=corn and I am allergic) but I can’t help it 🙁

  12. Aw looks like a fun weekend! Those puppies and kittens are ADORABLE too bad they stop being super cute once they get old. Especially the cats.

Which Wich is delicious we have one downtown Chicago and I love it. & It looks like you get your pizza the way I like it too, pile on the veggies! <3

    • kissmybroccoli says:

So true! Can’t they just stay babies forever?!

Totally addicted to Which Wich! As far as the pizza options…if I ordered all the toppings I wanted, there’s no telling how much it would cost so I go in for their special on Friday (Large pep or cheese pizza for only $4), then take it home and cover it in veggies! Just the way I like it! 🙂

  13. Nicole says:

I totally love how you wrote your name as Madonna.

And you can stop teasing me with the cake batter popcorn anytime now! 🙂

  14. OOoh that pizza!! That is just torture having to look at that photo!! 🙂
I LOVE Sam Adams beer- any kind. We visit their brewery all the time when we visit Greg’s dad in Boston. We actually had Summer Ale and Blackberry Wit at our wedding. 🙂
I used to give the name “Shabaka” all the time in college when I’d order at places!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

      Shabaka! Hahahaha! Love it!

I haven’t tried the Blackberry Wit yet. I like the Summer Ale, but Cherry Wheat is my FAVORITE! It’s funny because before I met BB, I thought I didn’t like Sam Adams (but it’s just the Boston Lager that I’m not really a fan of…I thought they all tasted like that!)

  15. Seriously I want to try all of that, cake batter popcorn. What the!!!!

  16. Looks like you had a delicious weekend! That slice of pizza is legit making me drool!

  17. Ahhh so much deliciousness! How was that chocolate wine?? I like dessert wines 🙂

I wish we had those take and bake pizzas where I live! We had them in Ohio and they were so cheap and delicious!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

The chocolate wine is pretty tasty…I got the raspberry this time and I like it better than the original. Kind of reminds me of Bailey’s…and it goes GREAT in coffee! 🙂

  18. Denise says:

That pizza looks seriously delicious! I love pizza, anytime lol

Gas station weakness? Always gotta buy gum.

  19. Pizza looks AMAZING! And your uncle’s new pup is so adorable! I love the kittens too, but puppies melt my heart!

  20. Janetha says:

That pizza made my mouth water when I saw it on IG the first time, and now I am salivating over it again. Yum.

  21. Wow sounds like an amazing weekend!

    Kittens!! I want!!

  22. Carly says:

Check out my post for my deliciousness(: haha. But we have a which which in my town too and I am in love! I love how you get to write it all down; I’m such a nerd that way. But you must try the Monte Cristo. It’s turkey, grape jelly and powdered sugar. sooo good!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

I saw that one! I was a little worried about taking the plunge…can’t say I’ve ever thought to combine turkey and grape jelly before, but if you’re recommending it, I’m game! Maybe I can talk BB into taking me this weekend! 😉

  23. First you caught my attention with pizza and wine. I need that soon.
Then, it went over the top with the adorable animal pictures. Too cuute!

  24. Looks like a delicious and fun weekend there! I have been loving on some zucchini muffins these days like nobody’s business. I’ve got quite the addiction going since I’m growing my own zucchini. Tony is a sunflower seed boy from the gas station, but I don’t normally get snacks when we stop. I will get a Coke Zero on occasion though.

  25. That cookie plate looks absolutely amazing. Now you’ve got me craving cookies!
