Pumpkin Pie Protein Steamer

Hey guys!

One of the things I love most about blogging is the endless amount of inspiration I get from other bloggers.

It only took a matter of minutes after seeing Lauren’s Pumpkin Pie Steamer before the wheels started turning…and honestly, since I’ve done it with hot chocolate, I can’t believe the thought never occurred to me until now!

Anyone down for a hot mug of liquid pie?
With a protein punch? πŸ˜‰

Creamy, dreamy, warm, and spicy…the perfect drink to refuel you after a long cold run or even just to curl up with on the couch in your pj’s!

Or you could always use it to help wash down a super thick bowl of Perfect Oatmeal!

Seriously, make these oats…
Your tastebuds will thank you for it! πŸ˜‰

About a month ago, as a perk to being a Fitfluential Ambassador, I was given a free* tub of Muscle Gauge Nutrition’s Pure Whey Isolate protein powder in vanilla and I’ve been using it in practically everything!

It has DEFINITELY made for some fantastic protein pancakes over the last couple of weeks…

Tiramisu Protein Pancakes

Sweet Potato Pie Pancakes

The powder itself is fantastic! The flavor is amazing, it mixes easily, and it packs 25 grams of protein in only ONE scoop! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good protein supplement.

Thank you so much Muscle Gauge!

Disclaimer: While I did receive this supplement from the company free of charge, my review is totally unbiased. It’s just GOOD stuff! πŸ˜‰

Now go…make yourself a steamer…curl up with a good book blog…and work on that seasonal tan! πŸ˜‰

What is your favorite fall beverage?
I love a good (spiked) apple cider and of course, pumpkin ale is a MUST!

  1. Love the idea of a warm protein pumpkin pie! Must. make. asap!

  2. Ohhhhh…. ahhhh… I want this. With a shot of bourbon. LOL!

Funny story, remote related: I cannot read the work :streamer” without thinking of taking a poop because there was an interview with Dave Matthews on some late show years ago where he was telling story about pooping and called it a steamer. Then he goes “Wait… can you say steamer on the air?” Like he just dropped an f-bomb or something.

You needed to know that story, right? πŸ˜‰

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Bahahaha! Well, completely related to poop…I can’t think of Dave Matthews without remembering the tour bus poop incident! :-/ Ick!

  3. Pumpkin ale all the way! While I’ve had a pint, I haven’t gone out and bought myself any and I’m not quite sure why. Other than I either then have to share it with the rents or drink it all before they get to it… πŸ˜‰

  4. Jessie says:

Ohh this sounds heavenily!! Before moving out, it was definitely pumpkin ale!!! So good & refreshing.. boo I miss alcohol πŸ™

  5. Mmm this sounds nice… especially now that it’s freakin’ freezing outside over here. I’ve been gulping down hot beverages like it’s nobody’s business, but I’m getting a little sick of tea so I think I need to start getting a bit more creative. This might be boring, but I love regular old cappuccinos and lattes in the Fall. Sometimes I get them spiced or flavored, but really, as long as it has coffee and it’s warm, it’s pretty high up there on my list.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

I think I’m starting to get a little tired of the tea now too…probably because I’ve polished off a box and a half this week alone! It’s just been so flippin’ COLD…which now that I complain about it, I’m sure it’s even COLDER in Canadaland so I should just quit my whining! Lol

The coffee cravings haven’t quieted either…think I’m gonna have to break down and search out a good decaf variety! πŸ˜€

  6. Kelsey says:

That’s it. I’m having pancakes for breakfast. Now I can’t wait to wake up in the morning!!!!!

  7. This looks good! And I like that it doesn’t actually have any coffee in it so that I could drink it in the evening!

My favourite fall drink is Starbucks’ chai latte. I’ve tried chai lattes from so many different cafes, but I always go back to Starbucks’ one. It’s the best!

PS. How did you score that free protein powder through Fitfluential? I’m an ambassador too, but I never get offered to test out products like that!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Oh yes, this would make the PERFECT bedtime beverage! And I LOVE a good chai latte! I used to get them from Starbux all the time, but now they’re just too sweet for my tastes πŸ™

You HAVE to be active on the Facebook page. They post opportunities all the time, but if you don’t check them out and apply for them from the page, then you don’t get any offers…unfortunately I JUST figured this out!

  8. I have been dragging my feet (can opener?) about opening my first can of pumpkin, but have been mulling (spices?) over making a pumpkin version of my favorite ‘proats.’ Since I never seem to actually DRINK protein powder, this might be a delicious idea…especially because I think it would also be amazing with my Plant Fusion chocolate powder…

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Haha! I love your (side) comments! And I can’t believe you haven’t dug into your first can of pumpkin yet! Once I started seeing it all over blogworld, I couldn’t resist! Eh, I’m not ashamed to admit my weaknesses! πŸ˜‰

And I can’t believe I didn’t think about trying this with chocolate powder…oh, or I have some chai vanilla Vega that would be great too! Mmmmm!

  9. Kat says:

I love pumpkin lattes, but this just sounds so much better!! Especially since Im boycotting a $5 coffee until gas is below $5 here in LA. Stupid gas prices.
Anyway, everything looks awesome! I made your mint pancakes the other day with my chocolate mint plant…I ate those pancakes so fast I dont even think I tasted them, which really is quite a shame. Guess I’ll have to make more πŸ˜‰

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Chocolate mint? Oh yum!! I think that definitely deserves a repeat performance! πŸ˜€

Gas is over $5 over there?! Wow, it’s only around $3.60 here in TN! That stinks!

  10. I’m making this right now… literally. Thanks love! I love pumpkin coffee, apple cidar, and wassail.

  11. Simone says:

I always crave a good chia almond milk latte in the fall, something about the smell just makes me feel so cozy!… but it has to be a good strong cup, not a super watered down one. Definitely worth hunting for

    • kissmybroccoli says:

I couldn’t agree more! There are a LOT of places that can mess up a good chai latte, but it’s totally worth it when you find the perfect one!

Do you use whey protein for your steamer? It usually gets gross when I heat whey protein.
