Omg, WHAT is this?!

Delicious, that’s what! Hiding away in my tiiiiiiiiiiiiny little reserve of recipes created many MANY months ago…when it was no longer blog-ically acceptable to publish pumpkin recipes (*scoff*), I thought I’d save it for a rainy day, but look at that, it’s raining (AND snowing) today, so I guess it’s about time to get our smoothie on! With a juicer for beginners you can quickly make this and many other smoothies and milkshakes at home.

We’ll just pretend that it’s not literally FREEZING outside! 😯

  1. Pumpkin and Pear! That sounds like an awesome combo!!!

  2. I would have never thought to combine pumpkin and pear – but now I am super intrigued! And yep, I am definitely the girl wrapped up in three blankets drinking my smoothie in -20C. Eating seasonally? What is that, anyway? 😉

  3. I’m the girl that drinks cold smoothies while sitting by the fireplace bundled up in a hoodie and gloves 😛 Actually, I’ve been off oatmeal for a couple months and eating smoothies for breakfast… and often for snacks. And you better believe we’ve got snow on the ground! It’s currently about -18C, so a little chilly.

Ughhhhhh! Girl, I don’t know HOW you do it up there! I seriously would have to look into flying south for the winter (half the year) if I were a Canadian! Or maybe install heated floors and walls in my home? Haha!

  4. I have never put pears in a smoothie before, but now you have me wanting to. That sounds awesome!

  5. Yummy looks, delicious and sounds like a great fall treat.

  6. I hate being cold… but I still shovel in the cold stuff. I don’t know why I do this to myself. I do try to time it so it’s right before I get in a hot shower. Because I’m smarter than I look. 😉

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Haha! Nothing better than a long hot shower after being out in snowy weather. Though I’d still prefer NO snowy weather. Still hoping this year isn’t quite as horrible (or long) as last year! And even though Atlanta is almost always 5 degrees colder than Clarksville, I WILL make a trek down there next month if you, Sarah, and I can get something coordinated. I miss you TOO much!

  7. super intrigued by the pear and pumpkin combo! It’s been freezing and snowy here for a few weeks now. Let’s not talk about it.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Awww hon! I’m sorry! Ok, let’s just talk about all the GOOD things that cold weather brings with it…holiday parties, family, and cookies, and warm cozy fires…even if I have to camp out at a Cracker Barrel restaurant to get myself in front of a fireplace! Lol

  8. Love the idea of pear!!! It snowed here Sunday night 3 inches. BOOOOO!!!!

  9. Ugh we just got our first snow on Sunday… and today it’s -17 degrees Celsius with wind chill. I don’t even want to talk about it.

This looks delicious though! I’ve been on a bit of a pear kick lately, and I bet it goes great with pumpkin!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

It really does! And peaches too…aww, now I’m missing summer even more! I swear I just didn’t get my fill of summer fruits this year before they all disappeared! Hope you stay warm up there girlie! I was just telling Amanda (Spoons) that I don’t know HOW you guys do it up there! I’d turn into a human icicle! Lol

  10. It actually hasn’t really snowed here yet, thank god, although it was 28 when I left my house this morning, boo 🙁 I LOVE this recipe, adding the pear is such a unique twist… and good natural sweetener!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Yes ma’am! And I love it whenever I can freeze a fruit before adding it to a smoothie…keeps the flavors a lot bolder! 🙂

  11. You’re definitely crazy. Not. I really wouldn’t mind finding a tub of ice cream in ny freezer right now and eat a bowl full. Or just straight up with a spoon – and then cuss the cold and get out my hot water bottle. What else were those invented for than crazy bloggers needing to satisfy cold food cravings in freezing temperatures?!
No snow here yet and fingers crossed it’ll stay that way for a lot longer.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Can you believe I don’t have one of those? I think I may need to write a quick letter to Santa to add that to my list! 😉 And girl, I’m right there with ya on the ice cream…I swear I crave it MORE during the winter than I do during the summer!
