What DIDN’T I Eat Wednesday?!

Hey loves!

I hope you all enjoyed the holiday weekend! Mine was full of shopping, traveling, and of course TONS of good food!

Which is a good thing since it’s time to party!

Be sure to click here to show some love to our host, Jenn and check out the delicious link ups for this week’s What I Ate Wednesday!

The weekend started with the return of Pizza Friday!

And as always, the $4 pepperoni pizza was stripped and VEGGIFIED!

I went south of the border with the flavors this time, using one of my favorite Mrs. Dash seasonings…totally reminded me of Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza!

Throughout the weekend, I was sure to get my daily servings of fruits in each day…

Almond butter and PEACHES on cinnamon raisin bread, , cereal and fresh strawberries, and yogurt with cranberry acai granola (newest Whole Food’s bulk bin obsession) and BLACKBERRIES!

And for the record, the biggest cookie on that sampler plate is in fact LEMON sugar* and I’m sure there’s at least some trace of actual RASPBERRIES in that chocolate wine I spiked my coffee with! 😉

*More on that plate-o-goodness to come!

Like a lot of people, BB and I were out and about most of the weekend so our meals were eaten on the go, but they definitely did not disappoint…

Which Wich sub shop just came to Clarksville about a month ago and I have made it my life’s goal to try everything on the menu!

The other day, I went with a toasted chicken pesto with parmesan cheese, caramelized onions, tomatoes, pepperoncinis, red bell peppers, oregano, and garlic…SO good! And yes, I DID make them call out “Madonna” in the middle of a busy lunch hour! 😉

BB is making his way down the list of milkshakes they offer. This time he ordered the Oreo shake…which I decided needed to be “check for poison”…a couple of times! 😉

As much as I could seriously pop a tent outside this place and live off salads, sandwiches, and milkshakes for the rest of my life, BB was able to pry me away and distract me with BBQ…

We checked out a new-to-us place along the highway who claim to have the  “best BBQ ever”

It was cute, with decent prices, and our camera evading sandwiches WERE pretty tasty…but as far as being the BEST?

Eh, I wouldn’t go polishing that golden boar just yet.

On Sunday night, we went to visit some of BB’s family in Kentucky where there was definitely NO shortage of good food…

and good times…

Shooting lessons of the firearm AND pool variety…from now on, I will only answer to the name of Annie Oakley.

And yes that WOULD be my boyfriend about to tase himself but that’s besides the point…check out these cuties:

BB’s uncle’s new pup and 3 WEEK old kittens! OMG!

I’ve never really understood the phrase “You’re so cute I could just EAT you up,” but just for the record, no puppies or kittens were harmed in the making of this WIAW post! 😉

And if ALL those eats (minus the puppies and kittens) wasn’t enough for a long weekend, somehow I managed to find room for a handful of snackage just about every hour on the hour!

Honey mustard pretzel pieces, crunchy green beans that taste like straight up buttery deliciousness, trail mix with butter toffee nuts and dried pineapple (omg, yum!), cake batter kettle corn, AND gummy worms.

I’m such a sucker for sour gummies and with as many convenience store stops as we made this weekend, it was BOUND to happen!

What deliciousness did YOU get into this weekend?

What is your convenience store/gas station weakness?

Tastin’, Trippin’ & Tradin’

Hey there punkins!

I hope the week is treating you all well! On Thursday, I made an impulse decision and called to get an appointment for a massage…luckily I was able to slide into a spot TODAY and I swear, it was one of the BEST ones I’ve ever received!

This face should serve as proof:

Ahh, my body is jello!

Having the day all to myself last Thursday definitely helped to me unwind…actually, I think it gave me just the boost I needed! Since last week, my stress level has been SO much better and I’m pretty sure it has to do with an amazing weekend with BB!

After with our trip to the strawberry ranch on Saturday, we decided to stop in the local winery for a little tasting:

Honestly, we HAD plans after that, but let’s just say after you “taste” over half the menu, driving an hour to the lake is not the safest bet!

We ended up just chilling at the house for the rest of the night…saving up our energy for Sunday…

ROAAAAAAAD TRIP!

Yep, I get THIS excited about trips to Nashville that include grocery shopping. 🙂

I went to the farmer’s market for one thing: To stock up on my
FROG preserves…

Unfortunately Fortunately, I came out with a few more items!

The orange date nut honey jelly is to.die.for!

And so is this amazing hand-popped kettlecorn!

Two cake batters (OMG!) for me and one spicy cajun for BB!

Hey, they were buy two get one free! 😉

Next up, Trader Joe’s!

I made sure to grab my favorites (tempeh, firm tofu, hot & sweet mustard, fig butter, almond butter, and plantain chips), but I also picked up some new snackage and a couple of guilty pleasures (hello, chocolate overload!)

While I was grinding up the “limited edition” coffee (for some reason, I have a weakness for seasonal items), I spotted the vanilla chai-spiced coffee. You may have noticed it on my WIAW post…

Seriously people, if you like the flavor of chai spice, you’ve GOT to get your hands on some of this!

I am in luvvvvvvvvvvv!

After spending God only knows how long winding up and down the FOUR aisles at Trader Joe’s, BB and I were off to Whole Foods!

I really didn’t need anything, but how could I pass up a chance to oogle/stalk/sniff the hot bar?!

All new-to-me items…can’t wait to try the spinach fettuccine!

And guess what! When you oogle the hot bar with BB around, wishes come true!!

His & Hers

Notice his is the one filled to the brim with meat! 😉

And speaking of meat, I just HAVE to show you what BB ending up coming home with at the end of the day…

Dried meat, meat in a can, meat rolled with cheese, seafood rolled with cheese, more seafood…oh yeah, and some nuts.

Hahaha!

And last but CERTAINLY not least, our trip ended with a stop by my favorite fro-yo shop!

Heaven forbid there ever be a franchise opportunity for a Sweet CeCe’s in Clarksville…I’ll be like 500 pounds…

Because as much as I love fresh fruit, I can never pass up the chance to load my cup with what looks like a unicorn explosion!

Lemon and vanilla swirl topped with unicorn entrails…aka Fruitty Pebbles cereal and SPRINKLES!!!

Yep, by the end of the day I was high on life…or maybe that was all the sugar…and I didn’t have a stressful thought in my head!

Are you a sucker for labels (closeout sale, limited time, etc) like me?

Tell me something about your week!
I’m still waaaaay behind in my blog reading and I feel like I’m missing out!

Short on Time but NOT on Flavor!

Blargggggg!

I can’t believe it is already 10pm! Where in the heck has my day gone?! I swear from the moment I got out of bed this morning, it has been go, go, go!

Luckily, because I just can’t NOT play along with Jenn and all my other food loving gals, I managed to snap a pic of my “fast food” eats today!

Be sure to head on over to Peas & Crayons and check out all the delicious link ups! And howabout a big shout out to my girl, Jenn, for making this shindig happen each and every week?! 🙂
Breakfast was a bit of a throw-together…I mixed some Love Grown granola with the last of my Erin Baker’s Power Crunch PB granola, tossed in some banana slices (if you want to call them that…banana’s on their last leg don’t really “slice”), and then dumped a container of Fage Greek yogurt on top!

And naturally, there is ALWAYS time for coffee! I picked up this gem over the weekend and it is most definitely a keeper…the perfect blend of coffee flavor and chai spiciness!

Altogether, this is what breakfast looked like:

Yeah, just pretend you’re looking at a gorgeous layered parfait with a freshly polished silver spoon situated next to a fine china cup filled with coffee! 😉

Of course, the reason I had to eat my breakfast while cruising down the highway driving with my knee was due to the fact that LUNCH was my top priority:

Monday night I had the BEST sandwich of avocado, spinach, and tomato with pickles for dinner…only, it would have been easier to eat a banana split on the back of a donkey…while climbing the side of a mountain…in the pouring rain.

I’m not ashamed to admit that all my lady-like ways went out the window as I held my face inches above my plate and stuffed every last bit in my mouth with pickle-y avocado hands.

So today, I opted for a leafless sandwich and chose to have my spinach in the form of a salad instead…with red pepper, sprouts, and balsamic vinegar.

Snackage for the day included a pineapple SoyJoy bar (not bad), blackberries and strawberries, and the last of my Mrs. Mays Almond Rice Stix…

Please join me in a moment of silence while we mourn the future absence of such an amazing snack…

After I got off work, I headed to the gym for an upper body workout and then figured I’d hit up the store to “grab a few things” on my way home…

You know how they say you should never go to the store hungry?

Well, after coming home with a can of sardines, Wasa crackers, and a pack of roasted soy beans, all I can say is…

Man, was dinner delicious! 😉

Now I’m thinking a spoonful of peanut butter and a couple of swigs out of the almond milk carton a glass of almond milk would end the day jussssssst right!

What is your go-to snack when you’re short on time?

Have you ever tried sardines?
This was my first time…kinda tasted like tuna only saltier.
