Homemade Maple Cinnamon Peanut Butter

Hello peanut butter lovers! Thank you all for the comments on yesterdays postage…let me know if any of you try the pancakes, I’d love to hear what you think!

Today I had a craving, and since I listened to my craving yesterday and the results were “fruitful” (pun totally intended), I thought I’d do the same today.

Remember that tin of mix nuts I was grazing on the other day?

Well, this is what I was left with today…

That’s just (pea)nuts!

Now they’re naked nuts! 😯

Now they’re in the food processor…muhahahaha!

Now they look like mushy couscous…

Now they have friends…

And now they look like perfection!

Hmm, what to do…what to do…what to do…

Told ya that rubber spatula comes in handy! 😉

Maple Cinnamon Peanut Butter: (yields just over 1/2 cup)

  • 1 cup roasted and salted peanuts
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 tablespoon canola oil (without it, your peanut butter will not be creamy)

1. Process the peanuts in a food processor until smooth, occasionally scraping down the         sides.
2. Once mixture is smooth, add syrup, cinnamon, and oil and process just to combine.
3. Enjoy!

I made a small batch due to the amount of nuts I had on hand, but feel free to double the recipe for more peanut butter lovin’!

Well, I’m off to take my peanut-butterful belly to bed! Hope you guys have a great rest of the night…oh, and Happy First Day of Spring! Yay! 🙂

What would your homemade peanut butter have in it?

My homemade peanut butter would have chocolate chips 🙂 Or raisins just bc I’ve become obsessed with PB&C Cinnamon Raisin flavor pb. It’s definitely my favorite. Btw what food processor do you use? I am on the hunt for one 😀

  5. I have 2 mini rubber spatulas just for that reason! That looks wayyyy to good. It got better and better with each pic-so jealous-care to share some? I’ll bring my own spatula!

  6. Homemade peanut butter always looks amazing!!! My homemade PB would have to have white chocolate!!!!!

  7. Ania says:

that looks so amazing! i believe i have never tried anything else than regular peanut butter, but then again, all the time i lived in Poland (24 years) i didn’t even know what real peanut butter was, it’s (or at least was) unavailable in Polish shops. now i eat it occasionally (because i shouldn’t eat it too often) and i found a brand that makes super super creamy PB. hope to try (or make!) some different kinds one day!

    • I never really gave peanut butter (or any nut butter for that matter) a second thought until I got into reading blogs…now it’s like a full blown addiction! I can’t go more than a day without it I swear! Thanks for letting me know that I should never live in Poland! 😉

I make homemade peanut butter all the time. But for some reason I never make different flavors. I really want to make this though. I love maple syrup, I love cinnamon, and I love peanuts! could not go wrong 🙂

  11. Lee says:

Every time I see someone making homemade nut butter, I am reminded that I really need a new food processor. Mine never gets creamy at all even if I use oil. I think the blade is really dull.

  12. That looks great! I just made some vanilla cinnamon pecan butter…so good!

  13. I love maple in mine too! Honestly, anything goes in homemade nut butters! I love creating new things all the time. This one looks perfect!

Yum! I am actually eating Oats with peanut butter and maple syrup (and chia and flax cuz I gots to be healthy) and it’s the perfect marriage. It started with my craving pancakes with my favorite topping – peanut butter and maple syrup and led to me making oatmeal instead because I am too lazy today 🙂 Great minds think alike!

    • Sounds like a great lazy girl breakfast to me! My ex used to top his pancakes with pb and syrup all the time, but I always thought it was so gross looking that I never tried it! Now that I’ve had this pb, I’m thinking I’ll give it a go!

  17. Ahhhh, so tasty! Why, oh why is my food processor so weak? I’m considering splurging on a nice one just to make nut butters 🙂

  18. I literally have no words for how delicious that looks!!!!!!

  19. cbrady3 says:

I still haven’t made my own nut butter…I need to! I’d probably start of simple, but eventually I would add honey or maple. And maybe some texture at the end?

  20. Um, that just looks seriously amazing!
