Sparkle Waffle

Well, I’m not ashamed to admit it…

I am one of THOSE girls!

Not to be confused with one of these girls…oh no, my fandom stops at the books and the movies…ok and maybe a shirt! Besides, my loyalties will always lie with the blood suckers who actually have fangs and kill people 😉

So yeah, last night I met up with my best friend Sherri and my sister Tori…you’ve seen our shenanigans on the blog before…for a night of sparkly vampires and unrealistic looking werewolves.

Say Cullen!
Ok, that was gay…I admit it! 😉

Tori and I waiting outside the theater in the freezing temps while Sherri printed our tix!

I wasn’t thrilled to be in a drafty theater surrounded by hormone raging teeny boppers who squealed every time a bicep muscle was flexed, but we all really enjoyed the books and it’s a tradition of ours to see newest movie in theater as soon as it comes out.

Besides having our teeth chatter for the entire two hours (yeah, guess the movie theater was trying to pinch some pennies) we all really enjoyed the show…and the squeals/clapping were kept to a minimum this time…the last movie was INSANE!

When we got out of the movie theater around 3am, we all agreed it was time for some food-age.

And where do you go to eat at 3am on a Friday morning?

Waffle House of course!

We were actually the only ones in there for a little while…which I found a little disappointing. One of the best parts about going to Waffle House is drunk people watching! 😉

Sherri ordered the cheesy eggs, raisin toast, and hashbrowns, Tori got the biscuits loaded with sausage gravy, and I opted for a blueberry waffle and a side of hashbrowns…

Scattered, covered, chunked, diced and capped!

I swear half the reason I always order hashbrowns at WH is so that I can say all that! Lol

Who likes hashbrowns? We like hashbrowns!

So maybe I froze my butt off and didn’t end up making it to bed until 4am, but I had a great night!

Good show, good food, good company!

Are you a fan of the Twilight Saga movies or books?

Ever been to Waffle House? How do you like your hashbrowns?

  1. I’m a HUGE twilight fan. I just got home from seeing the movie. Wasn’t a huge fan of the teeny boppers either! HAha. But I think this movie was the best one yet. Intense!!

I was just telling a friend the other day that I think they’ve gotten better each time…makes me really excited about the next one! Eeek!

  2. I haven’t been to a Waffle House in a month of Sundays… their hashbrowns are certainly fun to order!!! 🙂 I can get behind some True Blood, but I never gave into the Twilight phenomenon… or Harry Potter for that matter. I do have a coworker convincing me to read The Hunger Game series though, so we’ll see! 😉

    • lindsay says:

oh me too! I think its because I am too antsy to sit through a movie that long.. haha.
We need a Kiss My Broccoli type of waffle house, that would be even better!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Oh my gosh, have you seen the trailer for The Hunger Games movie? I’ve heard the books are really good and after seeing the preview, I REALLY want to read them now!

Yeah, I never got into HP either….I’ve never even seen one of the movies.

  3. Haha kudos to you guys for braving the crowds of obsessed tweens at the theater. I’m not really a Twilight fan, but I’ll probably go see it a few weeks from now when the crowds have died down. Harry Potter though? That’s a different story. I was one of those people who waited 3 hours in line to see the first showings of the movies! 😛

Umm why don’t we have the Waffle House in Canada? 3 am hashbrowns sound like pretty much the best thing ever!

I do like twilight but did not go at midnight , haha! I do want to see the new one, and hoping to go!

Oh Waffle House is for drunk people watching, lol!

    Happy Saturday! xoxo <3

ugh, this reminds me of high school! Gingie and I used to always go to the movies and polish off the night with a trip to the local 24 hour dinner. I got banana nut pancakes, every.single.time. I think we need to revive that tradition 🙂

I think I’m going to see Twilight tonight. I’m so excited! Can we chat afterwards?!?! pretty pretty pleaaaaaaase?!

    happy day Heather!

Mmm, banana nut pancakes sound delicious right about now…of course I am of the mindset that breakfast food always tastes like 1000 times better at the wee hours of the morning/night/whatever you call it when you’re in the small percentage of people still awake hours before dawn!

So, did you see it? What did you think? Oh and we totally need to exchange phone numbers for sure!

    i love twilight #noshame

  7. We go to WH all the time with the boys now! The service is incredible at our local one and we can all eat well on the cheap! I love hash browns with poached eggs, tomato and ketchup! Max had the biscuit with gravy last time and I was amazed at how he put that away! Sounds like you ladies had a great night! I
Hope you’re getting some rest this weekend.

I used the bathroom at a Waffle House once, does that count? I’ve seen the first two Twilight movies, but stopped at two because I could NOT stop laughing during the second one. And I saw it in theaters. Oops. And I’ve read 3.5 of the books. Yes, I stopped reading right in the middle of the 4th one. Oops, again.

  9. Lauren says:

I went through a phase when I was absolutely obsessed with these books but now I just like them. I think I have plans to go see Breaking Dawn next weekend with one of my best friends who I don’t get to see a lot. Yay! And Waffle House is always a good choice, any time of day 😉

    • kissmybroccoli says:

That so doesn’t count! Haha! I’ll admit, the first two movies were kinda lame, but they definitely get better. I can’t believe you were able to put down the fourth book…I was glue to it until the final page! #nerdalert 😉

  10. Glad you liked the movie, Heather! I also went to see the movie opening night and was pleasantly surprised. I’m not a huge Twilight fan, but even I had to admit that Breaking Dawn is a winner! 😀

  11. Jessica says:

If there was a waffle house around where I live, I think the employees would know me by name! The blueberry waffle would have been my top choice, too 🙂
