Will Work for Wine!

Hey hey HEYYYYYYY!

I hope you guys had a fantastic weekend! Mine was full of a little of this and a little of that, but the highlight? The most MARVELOUS part was most definitely getting together with the besties for A Toast to Tennessee Wine Festival on Saturday!

Wine Fest - Besties

We got all gussied up and made the trek to Nashville for a day of fun in the sun that started with wine glasses hanging from our necks (seriously, whose brilliant idea was THAT?!). The event was held at Nashville Shores waterpark and with over TWENTY Tennessee wineries represented, we knew it wouldn’t be long before…well, I’m sure you can guess! 😉

Our sweet, angelic PRE-buzz faces!

Wine Fest - SamplesWhat goes well with wine? Cheese and crackers of course…even better when they’re FREE (samples)!

Wine Fest - Wine on Tap

Yup, totally need one of these at my house!

Wine Fest - Drink Up BitchesWine Fest - Besties Selfie

This was right after we found the tent serving up the “healthy” pours…and then proceeded to taste everything they had on the table! 😉

French Fries & Wine

Break for food!

French Fries

My French fries were obviously so good they deserved a close up! 😆

Wine Fest - Selfie

Wine Fest - Besties Dancing

And what happens when you get a bunch of winos together and a DJ puts on The Cha Cha Slide? Yeah, you better BELIEVE I was right there next to those girls after I stopped long enough to secure some future blackmail snap a picture! 😉

For the record, we DID have a DD (thanks Ms. D for putting up with all our crazy drunken antics!) and also for the record, we are already planning our trip for next year! Oh and check it out, I actually practiced some restraint with my “souvenirs”…

Wine Coasters

Wine Fest - Wine

Let’s just hope the Cajunfest is as good as I “remember” it being 30 minutes before we closed down the park! Lol

The day was absolutely perfect…warm and sunny with just enough of a breeze to keep us cool while we were shaking our groove thangs! So many laughs and even MORE memories made with my two favoritest women in the whole world! This is seriously going down as one of the best days EVER!

Oh and I just have to share one more little snippet from the day. A conversation bestie #1 (the blonde) had with a complete stranger:

Bestie: “Oh wow, I really love your dress!”
Stranger: “Oh, thank you!”
Bestie: “I’d totally get one of those if I had the boobs to fill it out.”
Stranger: “Oh, well, /mine are fake”
Bestie: “Seriously?! But they look SO real!”
Stranger: “You bet! Wanna feel?”

And the rest folks, is Facebook friend history! 😆

Have you ever been to a wine festival?

When was the last time you boogied down? 😉

Omg I would’ve DIED if I would’ve been there while your bestie groped some woman’s fake boobs. I’m such a prude lol That stuff just makes me turn beet red! Of course if I was a little tipsy, who knows what I might’ve done? 😉

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Right? You never know! <- Because I was totally that girl who got her hand PUT on a stranger's fake boobs! Haha!

  2. Haha! Love those coasters! We went to a wine tasting event not too long ago. I’d love to go to another one!

  3. bahahahahhahahahaha i’m dying at that conversation! Huge wino here. As is my family. You better bet we get our boogie on at wine festivals. Already prepping for the one we’re going to in Park City!

  4. OMGGGGG that conversation – sooooo funny!!
I love to see your smiling face all over this post!! This definitely sounds like the perfect day – gorgeous ladies!!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Aww, thank you Lucie! Hope you and Laura are tearing Switzerland up right about now! Make me proud…and send her home with some Ovalmatine for me! Lol

  5. Eric says:

Fun day! Was so nice this weekend!

  6. Wine AND cheese? This sounds like the perfect festival. You are looking fabulous in that dress and sunnies.

  7. I’m going with you next year!

  8. your friend is amazing – did they FEEL real? :-p And looks like such a fun event! The wine show here happens in January, but being able to be outdoors sounds so much better.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

They totally DID! Yep, I totally got roped into groping a total stranger…but I have to say, the bestie has talked me into worse things! Lol

  9. Hilary says:

That sounds so fun! I haven’t even gotten my butt to a wine tasting yet! I don’t think I could handle a festival haha

  10. I have never paired french fries with wine, but I frequently pair them with beer… Sounds like fries and beer are the way to go! 😉

  11. I immediately started looking up wine festivals in my area after reading this. I just hope they have some of those awesome wine cup necklaces!

  12. Lee says:

That sounds like so much fun!

  13. This reminds me of either the Texas Food & Wine Festival….or the ‘Wine Cellar Classic’ at Max’s Wine Dive in Austin. That one involved over 100 wine tastings, and, well, let’s just say it’s the only time I drank and blogged. 🙂

The last time I boogied down was this afternoon. My friend Emily has discovered this class at the gym that involves a little hip hop, a little pop, and a little *NSYNC. It’s amazing.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

OVER A HUNDRED WINE TASTINGS?! Wow. And a BUI, huh? Hahaha! Love it! But not as much as I love the idea of class where I get to shake my booty while reliving a few of my middle school music memories! 😀

  14. UM. free cheese??? + wine??? best. weekend. ever.

  15. This sounds awesome! I went to a wine and food festival last winter and it was super fun, but I was driving so I mostly just partook in the food. Next time I’m making someone else drive! 😛

  16. Calee says:

soooo much fun! PS loving the nose ring. I can’t bring myself to make the change from the stud.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Really? I think you would look HAWT with a hoop lady! It took me a little while to get used to it, but I think I actually like it better than my stud now…and ya know, it makes me look like a badass! 😉

  17. Haha that is hilarious! The wine festival sounds like so much fun, especially with good friends! I’m so excited to be done with school after my exam tomorrow night so I am able to enjoy more fun weekends.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Oh wow, congratulations lady! I remember that time well…I swear I read a dozen books in the few months after I graduated…and watched movies…and took naps! Haha! Enjoy it!

  18. I love seeing your smiling face all over this blog. You look so damn happy (maybe tipsy), and I’m thrilled about it.
I totally would have felt the fake tatas. In fact, I’m kinda wishing I was there so I could have.

  19. Awkward but that stranger was my mum.

Sounds like the perfect weekend- well, perfect for you. 😉 You need to teach me your vino ways!

PS- I TRIED PEANUT FLOUR cereal this weekend….so good with basic cheerios and milk but several occasions, I thought I would choke on the peanut flour clumps lol!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

LMAO!! Well, DAYUM, she’s got nice knockers for a mom of two! 😉

Ahhhh, I’m so glad you tried the peanut flour cereal!! I agree, it’s good to go simple with it…but I do love adding bananas! And yeah, you can’t breathe in while you’re eating…silly rabbit! Lol
