Happy Monday kiddos!
I hope your weekends were full of fun with plenty of rest and relaxation to prep you for the week ahead. Let me rephrase that and tell you what I really mean…I hope you got a HECK of a lot more sleep than I did over the last few days.
I’ve finally learned to accept the fact that working nights isn’t always going to be a
piece of cake stack of soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies. It seems to be a bit of a roller coaster at times. I’ll sleep like a baby for months and then BAM! I mirror that with day upon day of tossing and turning, slamming coffee like there’s no tomorrow, and basically begging to the moon gods and goddesses to grant mercy on my poor soul. And well? That’s the path I’m on at the moment. Add to that the fact that I’ve had to pick up some extra hours lately and yeah, you got it…
But instead of letting it get the best of me, I’ve decided to just take it in stride…knowing that sooner or later things will turn up
or I’ll drop dead. 😉 So this weekend, I did my best to make the MOST out of every minute that I had…
By indulging in all my pumpkin pie fantasies with Freeze Pleeze’s new LIMITED EDITION flavor. All you local peeps? Y’all need to get on this like…NOW! And I do highly recommend getting yours topped with whipped cream for the full pie experience! 😀
By taking a walk at the park with just me, my bowl of pumpkin pie goodness, a jam-packed iTunes library, and a side of cloudporn.
By becoming addicted and marathoning yet ANOTHER show on Netflix. Ok, how many people am I going to disappoint by confessing that I’m just now getting into Breaking Bad.
By unpacking my latest wine club order, gathering all the bottles together, clutching them tight to my chest and repeating, “I love you, I love you, I love you.”
By [finally] cracking into the watermelon I bought at the farmer’s market LAST weekend…while dreaming of a land where summer fruits are available WITH flavor year-round.
By going on a leisurely walk around the neighborhood with a friend which ended up with us talking each other into jogging, which ended up with us stopping at the bottom of a GINORMOUS hill huffing and puffing till we thought we were going to cough up a lung. And then we went inside and had wine. 😉
And by getting my buffalo on (I have no idea what I mean by that…just go with it) with those cauliflower bites I was coveting the last time I went to Liberty Park Grill. Omg, they were DEEEEELISH!

I really liked Hemlock Grove. That was my last obsession. And Orange is the New Black…yeah, I watched that in like two days! Lol

Okay, this past week (month really) has been ALL ABOUT THE CHOCOLATE. I kid you not – breakfast, lunch + dinner dessert, stirred into oats/yogurt, the whole shebang. I can’t get enough! But hey – if it helps keep the stress from getting (too) crazy, then so be it. 🙂

I basically did the opposite (wrote it all in a quick clip on todays recipe in my blog)…so I didn’t get much done. But I did get some serious miles in towards my 100 by Halloween goal! 🙂
Eh, home decor is ENTIRELY overrated anyway. You SHOULD be out running in that fine fall air for every moment that you can…for soon we will all be grumbling and moaning that winter is here for the next eleventy million months! 😉

I had SO MUCH girlstim this weekend which was PERFECT!! Including a Facetime chat with Laura where we competed who looks more horrible close up with sweaty red faces. Believe me, I won, even if she doesn’t admit it.

I spent this weekend coming down from post-holiday blues… made Monday seem like a treat though!
Those buffalo cauliflower bites look amazing! I am so obsessed with anything involving cauliflower and buffalo sauce right now.
Jealoous! I saw that on your Insta and have been craving pumpkin froyo ever since. Although I indulged in a huge frozen banana this weekend covered in peanut butter, toffee, walnuts and cinnamon. It was kind of a dream. 🙂 Hope your sleep cycle evens out a bit soon!

I’ve been watching Breaking Bad too! I’m just at the 2nd episode of season 4, and I’m not loving it as much as I did at the beginning, but I’ve heard it gets crazy in the last season!
Oh yeah! Laura just said in the comment beneath you that seasons 3 and 4 were harder to get through but defintiely worth it for season 5! I need to get back to watching it…I’m still stuck on season 1! Haha!
I just finished Breaking Bad. I was all into it and then seasons 3-half way through 5 nearly killed me. I’m glad I stuck with it because the end of 5 reeled me back in. You have to let me know what you think!
Ohhh good to know! It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve watched. I need to fire it back up but…well, I guess I’ve just been too busy with life! Ha!
