I know the first day of autumn came a couple of weeks ago, there’s just something about the arrival of October that really makes it FEEL real. Something about the scent in the air, the crisp cool evenings, the gorgeous golden hue that seems to show up overnight…
The smell of spicy pumpkin-flavored coffee (“borrowed” from your friend’s K-cup collection) brewing in the morning…
The taste of pillowy-soft pumpkin pancakes topped with pumpkin whipped cream in the morning evening…
The pure and unadulterated, three-year old case of giddy amusement that I get each and every year whennnnnn…
I spot ALL THE PUMPKIN THINGS!!!
It’s no secret that I’m a pumpkin lover, but oh my god you guys, the obsession has gone to a whole NEW level this year. During a quick trip out of town last week I to visit some family, I found a Trader Joe’s…and then I found a Super Target…and then I found the sweet & spicy meaning of life!
So if you need me, I’ll just be over here in the corner with my finger stuffed in a container of pumpkin peanut butter, smelling like pumpkin butter, while laying in a mass of pumpkin-flavored crumbs. 😉
Are you a pumpkin-lover?
What is your favorite seasonal treat?
OMG! Pumpkin peanut butter???? Would love to try that!
I have been obsessed with Baskin-Robbin’s pumpkin ice cream (are they even still around?) since I was a kid! LOVE IT!
Ohhh, I’ve not seen that! Though it’s been YEARS since I’ve been inside a Baskin Robbins. I saw their PB&J ice cream on a friend’s Instagram a couple of weeks ago and keep telling myself to try to make it out to the one we have on the other side of town! Ahhh, foodie problems! Lol
And if you can get to a super Target, you’ve GOT to search out that peanut butter! SO GOOD!
I wish I had a cupboard full of fall flavours like yours. I can’t wait to see what you’ll do when Christmas comes around(that’s my sevond favourite season–winter).
I can smell your pumpkin spice from here!
Oh I pretty much ride the pumpkin train all the way to Easter! It’s ALWAYS pumpkin season!
Mmm pumpkin whipped cream. I bet that was to die for! You have to pick up Trader Joe’s pumpkin granola. It’s pretty friggen awesome.. just sayin =)
Oh girl, if I could get a can that whipped cream, I’d wear it on a lanyard around my neck! Lol. And if that pumpkin granola is even HALF as good as the pecan praline granola, I don’t stand a chance! *Insert teeth-baring emoji here*
YESSSSSSS to ALL the pumpkin. I love all the new stuff! I heard they had pumpkin corn bread at TJs… I didnt see it when I was getting the stuff to make chili.. but tots would have 🙂
Hmm, I didn’t see that either! Just fyi though, I do have a pretty bangin’ pumpkin cornbread recipe that I came up with last year…and that’s with just a teensy bit of bias! 😉 http://www.kissmybroccoliblog.com/2013/11/18/whole-wheat-pumpkin-cornbread/
PUMPKIN OVERLOAD! Love it! 🙂
Pumpkin slut. 😉
No. She makes a pumpkin look like a classy lady with this hoard! 😉
Nope. Not gonna argue that one bit! 😛
haha! Your Trader Joe’s pumpkin lineup looks a lot like mine. 🙂 I recently moved to Texas so I’m not quite getting that crispness or the leaves.. but I’m still in full-on pumpkin mode. I’m overcompensating by eating all the thingssssssss!
We’re lacking a bit in the crispy leaf department too. The weather has turned colder in the last couple of weeks and we’ve gotten a lot of wind and rain…that’s the only reason most of the trees don’t have leaves. Hopefully it’ll brighten up soon because I love taking my camera to the park this time of year to get some good fall-y pictures!
those pancakes! And pumpkin whipped cream! And pumpkin spiced body butter. I can’t even! You prob smell amazing! Thanks for sharing I’ll keep my eyes peeled at target!
Haha! I DO! And omg, if I could find out a way to recreate that whipped cream, I’d put that shit on a lanyard and wear it around my neck so I could take hits of it throughout the day! 😆
I am ALL over the pumpkin this year too! Trader Joe’s and Target are the gold mines when it comes to the stuff. DANGEROUS.
For real! I guess I should be glad that neither one of them are closer than an hour drive from my house…or I’d have more than pantry storage problems! Lol
I am totally buying that pumpkin cereal the next time I am at TJ’s! It sounds awesome!
It has a really mild spice to it, but I mixed some with a bit of Cinnamon Pecan Special K cereal yesterday morning and that really helped to bring out the flavor. After that I started thinking I should’ve gotten another box! Haha!
I can’t believe all of the pumpkin products you guys have in the US! The only pumpkin flavoured thing we have here is a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks lol.
I seriously can’t believe that. I think you guys should start chucking cans of puree at government buildings! 😉
Are you happy taunting me with all of that pumpkin-powered perfection? As if the creamer mention hadn’t been enough already. Go and use your Superwoman powers to convince companies to sell that stuff over here. I’m waiting.
Awww, so sorry love! Any luck in the [cream]experimentation <- ok, that was a bit of a stretch, wasn't it? 😆
I think my Blondies indicate I suffer from a similar affliction. But what the what… you found the english muffins?! I got the apple spice (which is awesome), but haven’t seen the pumpkin!
Haha! Funny thing is, I was actually looking for the apple spice ones after seeing them on your IG, but couldn’t find them! Lol
Remember when we went to TJ last year to find the body butter and they said they sold out the first day and never restocked?! And my mom found ONE for me?! This year she already sent 2. Is it bad I’m panicking already and think I need more? For my bomb shelter supply of course
Haha! I do remember…and that’s exactly why I came home with two! I’d never even smelled it before but just knew if you were that serious about hunting it down, it was worth it…and it was! Now if I could just get my hands on some of that cookies and cream spread! Grrrrr!

Everything looks so good!!
Tinned pumpkin, that’s all we have in the UK. And you have to hunt to find it. Just want to fly over to the states with an empty suitcase and stock up with pumpkin love!
Haha! I’d do the same thing if I were in your shoes!
Because of you, I had to get those Pumpkin O’s! The Pumpkin Spice Chai mix is amazing too. Have you tried their Pumpkin Ravioli? It’s awesome!
I haven’t! It sounds awesome! I was actually surprised to find the Trader Joe’s while I was out of town…had I known it was there, I’d have packed a cooler and stocked up! I knew it would be torture seeing all those perishables that I couldn’t take home with me so I steered clear of the cold food aisles. But I’ll have to make a trip to the Nashville store soon…it’s only an hour away from me!
