Looks so sinful, but I promise it’s healthy!Β

See?

Nutrition facts for pancakes only, without added nuts or toppings.

And for all of you out there who wonder if I actually eat the pancakes I post each week?

Well, after about 156 camera clicks, 6 different fork placements, and 5 plate rotations, the photo session ends right about the time the drool starts to slide down my chin.

Then the carnage ensues…

Down to the last bite…

And THEN some.

Don’t judge…you know you do it too!

Now everybody, go make these, cover them in chocolate manna syrup, and clean that plate like no one’s watching!*

Unless you areΒ ChelseaΒ orΒ Amanda…because I prefer you beautiful ladies ALIVE! Promise I’ll make it up to you next Sunday! xoxo

Happy Pancake Sunday!

  1. YESSSS puhhh-leeeeaasse! I’m on my way! πŸ™‚

  2. there is such a thing as butter extract?

  3. Peanut butter cookie pancakes?? Holy cannoli, I need this for breakfast! Gorgeous photos too. Yum!

  4. YUM, YUM, YUM times a million! I’ve made a stack super similar but subbed white wheat flour for the brown rice and coconut flour πŸ˜€ Mad love for cinnamon, peanut butter, and chocolate = loveee!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

I’ve done a version with just peanut flour and whole wheat flour before but I thought the addition of the coconut flour took it to a whole new level…you just can’t beat the spongey consistency that comes with adding a bit of coconut flour! Love it!

  5. lindsay says:

you better of licked all that! yep, lick away. No shame! especially with that recipe!

  6. My face literaly looks like this :O

    Oh my they look good.

Can you come cook for me?

  7. Kendra says:

Mmmm….those pancookies look fantastic!! I have always been a fan of peanut butter cookies, so I am sure I would love these. And that “chocolate syrup” looks delicious as well; it is much healthier than your typical corn syrup and artificial flavor-loaded chocolate syrup:)

  8. Kat says:

    YUUUUUM!
To me, the messier the plate, the better! And that plate had some serious mess to it! You cleaned it well though πŸ˜‰

  9. Just the title of this post made my heart skip a beat. Is that normal? Maybe I need a boyfriend, so that peanut butter isn’t the most romantic relationship in my life… Anyway, this is brilliant. There is no better combo than peanut butter and chocolate (except maybe peanut butter and banana), and from the Pancake Queen herself? If you opened a bunch restaurant, I would fly all the way from Canada to eat there.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Awww, thank you Devon! If you flew all the way from Canada, I’d be sure to sit you at my best table and you’d get a sampling of EVERYTHING! πŸ˜‰

And don’t worry, you’re not the only one who gets a rush every time peanut butter is mentioned…I saw a new brand on Instagram the other day called Yumbutter and I’m kinda dying to try it! Prepare to have your mind blown: http://www.yumbutter.com/potions/ πŸ˜‰

  10. Heather and I are looking at this and drooling. It may be breakfast… but we don’t have peanut flour… is there a sub for flour, egg…. hahahaha!!! Kidding. We have peanuts. We can make this work. πŸ˜‰

  11. milkandspoon says:

oh yummmmmm! im definitely gonna be making these for breakfast in the morning..cannot wait!

  12. Wowie girl, so THICK! I cannot believe they are less than 300 calories. Amazeballs πŸ™‚

  13. Eehehe. Girl, you freakin’ rock my socks off. These look fabulous, but the peanut thing? Yeaaaah not so much. I’m definitely looking forward to you making it up to me and Chelsea next Sunday, though. No pressure πŸ˜‰

  14. Rebekah Cefalu says:

For the love of pancakes!! or cookies!! or wait, is it pan-cookies?!? Haha! You seriously never cease to amaze… Can’t wait to make these babies soon πŸ˜‰

  15. Lisa says:

  16. You had me at peanut butter! YUM! I would totally down these no problem!

  17. Mmmmmm…..can’t speak……still drooling……mmmmm…….peanut……mmmm….butter……chocolate.

    Faints.

  18. Simone says:

I used to make pancakes every Sunday but for the last few weeks I’ve waited until Monday morning so I can check out your delish creations, keep them coming :)!

  19. First you made me jealous over your Twilight movie night, and now these?!?! No fair. πŸ˜‰ I of course want these for dinner instead of my rice, beans, and veggies!!!

  20. I am definitely loving this little pan-cookie series. I mean, any excuse to eat cookies for breakfast right? πŸ˜‰

  21. I don’t know how you do it – but you totally outdo yourself every week!! My husband is a huge PB and chocolate fanatic – I must make these for him!

  22. Carly says:

    Umm, WOW.
These look amazing, and will be entering my mouth in the near future.

  23. Jessie says:

Seriously, you & Allison @ Life’s a bowl should open up a pancake shop together. You’d probably become the restaurant of the year!!!

  24. Sophie says:

Ok so, first of all, these look incredible. Like, so yummy I’m drooling. I need to get around to making them. The thing is my pancakes always turn into scrambles…

Anyways, I have a question for you that may make me sound like a bit of an idiot, but oh well. How do you get the nutriton label in your post like that? I’d like to post it for some recipes on my blog, but can’t figure out how the heck to get one to show up. Thanks so much, and I can’t wait for next weeks creation!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Thank you, Sophie! The trick to avoiding the infamous pancake scramble is pure and simple…patience. Just make sure you let them cook long enough to set first (the edges will start to turn up just a bit and turn crisp), then with one swift movement, slide the spatula all the way under the cake, and flip! πŸ™‚

And seriously? That is NOT a stupid question at all! I had no idea how to do it either a few months ago. It’s not exactly “official” and sometimes I have to enter things in trial/error style when I can’t get it to come up in the search, but I use the website called Calorie Count. They have an option to enter recipes for calorie counting on their website, but I just use the “analyzer” to enter my ingredients and then take a screen shot of it. Here’s the link to the recipe analyzer: http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/account/flog_add.php?tab=new_recipe Hope that helps!
