*Or actually never frozen at all (just go along with the story)

And she became a love-sick teenager pudding in her glass slippers serving dish
with puffed millet and the last of Meghan’s homemade granola.

And discovered her in a smitten pudding state to be incredibly EASY.

I mean c’mon…married after ONE NIGHT of dancing? What are we teaching our little girls?! Cinderella could have been a young entrepreneur with a booming cleaning business…or at least joined a freak show with her talking mice and seen the world! 😉

Who is your favorite Disney princess?
A total bookworm as a kid, I was in LOVE with Belle!

What is your favorite summer berry?
BLOOBS…but only because I have to be so careful around my beloved steebies!

  1. ARIEL!!!!! Although Belle comes second 😉

I LOVE a good bloob. Although, since I ‘m in london now… the bloobs are terrible. They are so much better in the US!

  2. Jessie says:

This looks so good and perfect for those hot summer nights… actually I lie, anytime of the year really!

  3. Hahahaha you always make me smile/laugh/involuntarily urinate. I was a swimmer when I was little, and wanted to be Ariel. I’d practice trying to breathe underwater so I could be a mermaid someday.
I’m gonna have to go with strawberries – there’s nothing like plucking a fresh, warm berry from your garden. They’re so juicy, sweet and bursting with energy! I love saskatoon and huckleberries too! Esp. huckleberry pie….. MMMMMM. Did you know you can’t cultivate them? They only grow in certain areas in the Rockies. Weird, hey?

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Well, I guess I’d have to say the same thing about you! I really need to learn to quit drinking liquids while reading your comments…my POOR computer screen! And I JUST cleaned it! Lol

I never knew that about huckleberries! Actually, I’ve never even tried fresh ones before…only dried. And I’ve never even HEARD of saskatoon! Pretty sure I need to just come live with you for a while so you can teach me how to grow things and fill my belly with delicious food! 😉

  4. Fairy Broccoli Mother, this looks freaking amazeballs! Come to the UK and cook for me purrrrrlease?

  5. I find it almost impossible to pick my favorite princess. I honestly love them all for different reasons, although I have to say that the newer additions with Tangled and The Princess and the Frog are pretty great because the girls are less dependent on their male counterparts and overall much sassier 😉 I really like Tatiana because she is such a good cook!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Omg, YES! Tangled is one of my favorites of the newer films! Loved her attitude! I haven’t seen The Princess and the Frog yet, but now that you’ve mentioned the thing about the cooking, I think I’ll have to check it out! 🙂

  6. At first I thought this post was about boobs. Bloobs. Boobs. One track mind these days.

I never really liked cartoons so I didn’t have a favorite princess. I did have a soft spot for Garfield. And lasagna. Does that count?

  7. Oh Heather I love your posts! So creative and entertaining. Oh and delicious! This sounds amazing! Hmmm… favorite Disney Princess… I’m gonna go with Ariel because that’s the first song that popped into my head 🙂

  8. Oh my goodness, that looks SO amazing Heather. Seriously, I am SO glad I discovered your blog so long ago, not just for your amazing recipes, our your hilarious posts, but just because YOU totally shine through your writing and I love it 🙂 You’re so encouraging and a bright spot in my day!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Oh Liz! Thank you so SO much!! You never fail to leave the sweetest comments! I sometimes wonder if my real personality comes through in my writing or if I just look like a crazy person…thanks for assuring me that it’s the former (at least MOST of the time, right?!) 😉 xoxo

  9. I always loved Mulan, The Lion King, Aladdin, and Sleeping Beauty. I actually watched Cinderella not to long ago and I was completely horrified!! Like, holy shit, that guy could be a serial killer or a major loser, and you’re just going to go marry him? Just because he’s a good dancer?? Geez, Cinderella…He dresses well, he’s a good dancer, and he’s well groomed. My gay-dar would be going off the hizzy!

  10. I was always a Belle fan growing up too! Although I saw Brave a while back, and I think Merida’s pretty awesome. You can’t go wrong with a lady who knows her archery!

  11. Haha oh gosh I love you. And I totally agree about the married after one day…and as a teen! Hahaha. Oh I love that Ariel is married at 16 too 🙂 isn’t everyone?
I loved them all, but I seriously watched Beauty and the Beast over and over and over…you and me sista’!

  12. Yes, yes, and ummm.. yes. I’ll take two please. 😉

  13. Oh god anything with blueberries and/or pb and I’m in.

  14. Sara @ fitcupcaker says:

I think I have everything to make this!! I am so excited to try it!

  15. Ahh, I love this! And it’s totally healthy enough for breakfast. Win!

My favourite summer berry is a tie between blueberries and raspberries. I can’t wait for them to be in season – especially since I know I’ll be getting lots of free raspberries from the farm where my sister works in the summers!

I always liked Belle and Ariel. Belle because of her intelligence and bookishness, and Ariel because she just did what she wanted without listening to anyone else. 😀

  16. purelytwins says:

I (lori) love Belle, Michelle likes Mulan 🙂
this looks lovely for a hot summer day, we used to eat cottage cheese, but it has been ages since we have eaten it. love the idea of making it to make ice cream!

  17. This looks delicious. Thank you for posting a recipe that doesn’t involve an ice cream maker!

I used to love Ariel from the Little Mermaid when I was a kid. I even used to try to comb my hair with a fork.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Hahaha! I used to do the SAME thing! My mom was always wondering why I was running off with the silverware! Lol

And I know how you feel about the ice cream maker! I HATE seeing all those delicious ice cream recipes floating around blogworld during the summer…I bought a machine once, but never used it so I got rid of it…definitely regretting that decision now! :-/

  18. I need to make this!!! NEED!!!! I want it in my belly now. I have no blueberries or vanilla extract so it is a problem.

  19. I just don’t know if I can narrow it down to one favorite berry. I love them all . . . raspberries, blackberries, blueberries . . .

    I love Belle, too! 🙂

  20. This looks delicious! Why can’t I have cottage cheese?!?! Whaaaa!

  21. I like your version of Cinderella much better, especially when you describe her as an entrepreneur rocking it. I can’t believe you are just now finishing the granola. I bet it would have been great mixed with this.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Ha! Wellllll, actually…I sat on this recipe/these pictures for about a month, so it was more like 3 weeks before this that I finished it off! Lol Seriously, best granola I’ve ever tasted! You’ve got some mad skills woman…MAD! I only HOPE to be as good as you someday! 😉 xoxo

  22. Rach says:

This looks so good! I haven’t tried a dessert with cottage cheese, but you make it look so promising! Also, I too LOVED Belle! She was my favorite. 🙂
