Mailtime Monday!

Happy Monday peeps!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Remember when I mentioned how I’ve been doing a bit lot of online shopping lately? Well, I figured I’d use today’s post as a way of intervention to show off some of my latest goodies! 😉

Blues Clues

Here’s the mail it never fails,
because I ordered it with super-fast shipping.

it makes me wanna wag my tail,
and jump up and down on the front porch as the UPS man shakes his head.

when it comes I wanna wail MAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIL!
Yeah, I have some serious problems.

First up, iHerb:

Mailtime Monday iHerb

What started as an order for coconut butter and more of my beloved hazelnut chai turned into a bit more once I discovered that first time customers get $10 off a $40 purchase! The Christmas tea practically JUMPED into the cart after that realization and well, as for the shiny silver package?

Mail Time Monday - 02

It just sounded TOO COOL to pass up!

But I haven’t tried it yet…I’ll keep you guys posted!

Secondly, Netrition:

Netrition

Replenished my stash of peanut flour, picked up a new flavor of Power Crunch bars (which are amazing and totally rival the chocolate peanut butter), and I also nabbed a new-to-me product, Vega’s SaviSeeds!

From Vega’s Website: Sacha inchi seeds are the richest plant-based source of Omega-3 on the planet! Ounce for ounce, these amazing seeds on their own contain 17 times more Omega-3 than wild sockeye salmon*. Boasting a whopping 6 g of Omega-3 per one ounce of lightly roasted Vega SaviSeed*, nuts pale in comparison to this Omega-rich snack.

They are very unique tasting…a bit earthy, but in a good way. So far, I’ve been pairing them with an apple or some carrots and they’ve made for a perfectly filling snack!

Mail Time Monday - 09

I also picked up some of my new favorite maple syrup and a new jam spread to try. They’re both sweetened with xylitol (which deserves a post all to itself and is coming soon!) and the ingredient list is pretty legit.

Mail Time Monday - 11

Then, I got sucked into the bar section!

So far, I’ve tried the brownie (it was just ok), the blondie (holy cow amazing…just like the texture of an Otis Spunkmeyer muffin…I kid you NOT!), and the coffee-flavored Simply Bar (not bad, but I think I’ll like the raspberry one more).

The “wheyfer” bar was a freebie…haven’t tried it just yet, but if it’s ANYTHING like the Power Crunch bars, I know I’m in for a treat!

Mail Time Monday - 13

Of course, most of those bars were thrown in JUST so I could qualify for the free t-shirt deal! 😀

Next up, Amazon:

Mail Time Monday - 17

Processed white chocolate? Pffft! That stuff is for the birds the trash!

Oh yeah, now that I’ve finally got my post-Christmas appetite back, you better believe little bits of this bad boy are going to be popping into some recipes!

FYI, I haven’t forgotten about my mission to turn those apple cinnamon cookies into pancakes! 😉

And Lastly, A Birthday Surprise!

Mail Time Monday - 03

Last month, I got the BEST package EVER…a birthday surprise from
Tess over at Cross Country Cajun filled with all sorts of amazing goodies! I swear, each and every item I pulled out of the box got it’s own little happy dance!

Mail Time Monday - 04

Yeah, I think it’s safe to say this girl GETS me! 😉

What’s the last thing you received in the mail?

Did you ever watch Blue’s Clues as a kid?

  2. You get the best mail! Though I have to say when mail from Chobani lands on my doorstep it’s the greatest day EVER! 😉

  3. You definitely got some awesome mail! The last thing I got was the protein powder I ordered – it’ll definitely keep me going for a while!

  4. Lucie says:

I love when the UPS man arrives!!! It’s like birthday and christmas! And your foodies look great. I had Questbars, a Blogilates Hoodie and Crunchy Almond butter from Once Again in the Mail – wagging-tail-happy-dancing!!!

  5. You have got some cool products lately… I have yet to get on the ‘bar’ wagon but I want to try some to crumble into my protein thickshakes or cottage cheese concoctions… I think iherb is calling tooo meee!

Ohh, if you’re looking for a good “topping” bar, you should try out Quest’s Cravings Peanut Butter cups! Or I really like using Cascadian Farms crunchy granola bars too…their almond butter bars are delish! I’ve been on a mission to recreate them for almost a YEAR!

  6. Julie says:

I’m completely jealous of all those goodies!

  7. Jessie says:

Um, girl you should be good for quite sometime now!!! I had never heard of netrition before this post, so thanks 🙂 🙂

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Yeah, I think I’m pretty stocked up…just head on over if we end up having a zombie apocalypse in the near future! Lol And no problem! I LOVE shopping with Netrition so I’m always happy to share! I actually just joined their affiliate program so if you do decide on shopping with them, I would love it if you used the link in my sidebar to get there so I can get a little credit! Thanks girlie! 😀

  8. So many awesome things in this post!!! That maple powder sounds cool. I have maple flakes, which is basically just dried maple syrup. Is the maple powder sort of the same thing?

Also that caramelized onion and fig dip… yum!

The last thing I received in the mail was a hydro bill haha. 😛

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Yep, that’s pretty much all it is! I’m thinking it would be great for some sweet roasted chickpeas! Oh, and I thought of you the other day when I finished off the last of my Chick Pz (the ones I posted about a couple of months ago that I found at TJ Maxx?). I told you I’d let you know how the other flavors were and out of the three: Vanilla Chai, Sesame Crunch, and Tuscan Garlic and Herb, the latter was the BEST! I wan’t to try them as a salad topper, but I couldn’t help but eat them all before I had a chance! Lol

      Bills?! Eh, that’s no fun!

  9. Jennifer says:

WOW! Loving all the goodies! Excellent!
I do something on Wednesdays call Midweek Munchies and list the things I bought the past week or so

  10. Cracking up at your Blue’s Clues reference! I didn’t watch it as a kid but when I taught preschool there was a little boy who was obsessed and sang that song all the time! Funny! What fun packages to receive! I tried those Sava seeds the other day from Whole Foods and thought the same thing. Earthy but okay. I threw them into a spinach, basil pesto and it was delicious! I highly recommend it!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Ohh that’s a GREAT idea! Actually, they did make me think of pesto a bit when I first tried them…I’ll definitely have to do that!

  11. Okay, I’m trying not to be jealous … wait, did I see peanut flour, hazelnut chai AND cocoa drizzle kettle corn? I’m SO jealous!

The last thing I received in the mail – today, actually – was a huge bag of SunWarrior Blend Vanilla.

Haha, I never watched “Blue’s Clues” as a child because it wasn’t on TV back then but a few years later when the had translated it into German. It obviously wasn’t all that interesting for me anymore then.

  12. katie says:

Such amazing goodies! I just ordered from iherb too, my sunwarrior and vanilla stevia!

I have to try those power crunch bars!

  13. I just placed a huge order to Swanson’s Vitamins, and I should be getting it very soon! I ordered organic coconut shampoo, organic popcorn kernels, organic coconut oil, organic coconut flour, etc. Just an FYI, I’ve done some comparative prices with them on their coconut oils & butters vs. iherb and Swansons is cheaper for the most part. Plus, you can sign up for their emails and you’ll get notifications for free shipping days plus $5, $10, & $20 off of that order depending on how much you spend. Oh! And I’ve always gotten a $5 off coupon from them inside my package as well. Just so you know! I also get my first shipment from Chobani on the 17th! Can’t wait to see what they send me! Squeeeee!!!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Oh wow! Thanks girlie! I’ve never shopped with Swansons before but I will DEFINITELY be checking them out now! I do LOVE a good bargain! And Chobani shipments are the best! They pack them up with these little reusable freezer packs that are awesome for lunches, picnics, and well, if you have to drive an hour to the nearest Whole Foods like me, they’re great for grocery shopping too! 😀

PS, How long do you think it will take for you to turn INTO a coconut with all that stuff you just bought? Heehee!

  14. purelytwins says:

last thing received in the mail was some gelatin powder 🙂 I know fun stuff haha
amazon and iherb are the best!

  15. Oh Blue’s Clues….I did wag my tail a little bit when I read this. 🙂

What FUN and crazy online shopping (and an amazing package from Tess!) I need to try that brand of peanut flour…SO many people are using it. Is it sweetened at all? [I love PB2, but do wish I had a bit more control over added sugar.*]

*Who am I kidding? I don’t really care that much. Why did I even just ask that?

I finally got my hands on a coffee Simply Bar but haven’t tried it yet. I do LOVE the raspberry one though.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

I’ve tried a LOT of different peanut flours…PB2, Byrd Mill, Fitnutz, and this one and I REALLY like Protein Plus the best. It’s not sweetened or salted which I love (I actually think PB2 is a bit too salty).

  16. Fun goodies!!! How do you like the jam? I’mnot happy with Smucker’s sugar-free.

I have an iHerb pacakge downstairs… I just can’t get off the couch to get it. It has peanut flour. Effing flu.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Oh my gosh, I love it! I had some on my last piece of coconut banana bread the other day and it was perfect…very berry-y! 😉

I can’t believe we both got sick at the same time…ESPECIALLY being the healthy nuts that we are! Glad to hear you’re feeling better though! Hope you had fun this weekend! 🙂

  17. I also just picked up cacao butter and savi seeds. I really like the seeds, definitely and earthy flavor but great in salads! I have already broke into the cacao butter and made a peppermint white hot chocolate, which was fabulous. I’m all about using the real stuff and am not a fan of processed white chocolate (although dark chocolate is another story entirely…).

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Ohhhh! What all did you use for the peppermint white hot chocolate? I haven’t started experimenting yet, but I was hoping to get away with using something other than powdered sugar…maybe protein powder instead?

      • I just used coconut palm sugar, peppermint extract, almond milk, and the cacao butter but have been thinking about making my own powdered sugar with either the coconut sugar or sucanat soon which would probably be even better in it. I found that I had to put it in the blender after heating on the stove the first time though because the fat in the cacao butter separates. . Adding protein powder sounds like a delicious idea as well! I have done that to make regular protein hot chocolate and love it.

        • kissmybroccoli says:

Oh yeah, I LOVE me some protein hot chocolate! Can’t believe how long it took me though before I first made one…like, WHY have I been drinking them cold all this time?! Haha! Thanks for the tip about blending…like I said, I haven’t really started experimenting yet, but I will definitely be trying that peppermint combo!

  18. You made out like a bandit! 🙂 I just received Hawaiian coffee SEPARATE from a flip cam that I won!!!!

  19. Wait, you can food shop on line. Crap, there goes my bank account.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Hahaha! Besides the Christmas shopping that I did for my family this year, food is the ONLY thing that ever shows up on my doorstep! What’s really funny is that I used to be so nervous when it came to online shopping…now I’m a freaking addict! Lol

  21. Wow, all of this stuff is awesome! I always get sucked into good deals like that, haha. What’s the difference between Maple Syrup Powder and maple sugar? Is it just that one’s made with sweetener and the other one isn’t? Or is it something completely different? I just discovered maple sugar last year, and I love putting it in my oatmeal!

    • kissmybroccoli says:

The maple powder is just the dried version of the syrup…probably the same thing as your maple sugar actually! 🙂
