Happy…Happy…Happy BIRTHDAY!

Hey guys!

Oh my gosh, I’m SO excited to get this post up today…there is so MUCH to be excited about today!

First off, it’s the last day of the month, which means…

It’s Foodie Pen Pal Reveal Day!

This month I was paired up with Jennifer, a blog reader from the great state of Texas. In our email exchange, I told her how I like to look for snacks that are low in sugar, high in protein, and good for an on-the-go crazy schedule like mine.

And boy, did she DELIVER!

Unfortunately, my package only arrived a few days ago, so I haven’t gotten around to trying everything yet, but I may have already done some damage on that bag of
mini popcorn…

And by damage, I mean that after 24 hours, the entire bag now empty.

Whoops? πŸ˜‰

I had a chance to try the cinnamon roll oatmeal from my FPP package last monthΒ so I KNOW that, unlike the popcorn, I will be hoarding that for as long as possible. And the pumpkin spice bars are being made and frozen for future as soon as possible!

Thank you SO much Jennifer for an amazing package!!

I was matched up with Laura from Wylde Thyme and did my best to send her a good variety of snacks from Tennessee…and a couple of items I couldn’t help but pick up from the farmer’s market when I was in Atlanta.

Click HERE to see what she thought of all her goodies!

Next on the happy list, check out what came in the other day!!

I’m gonna go real original with this one and call her “Nikki”…but it’ll be short for “Nakita”…because that sounds like more of a badass name for a hulk of a camera like this one πŸ˜‰ Now if I can just figure out what halfΒ of her buttons do!

And last but not least, the HAPPIEST of the news for today…

KMB turned TWO!!!

Ok, so technically it was on Wednesday, but as we all know birthdays that fall during the week deserve even MORE of a celebration come the weekend!

But I seriously can’t believe it…sometimes it feels like I just started blogging a few months ago, and then other times it’s like I’ve been doing it all my life! I want to thank each and EVERY one of you for not only reading, but also for taking the time to comment on my posts, because without that interaction, blogging would be for nothing!

Some of the highlights from KMB’s second year…

My first REELΒ fishing trip

That time I went crazy and gave up the UNTHINKABLE for Lent…and then
celebrated appropriately afterward! πŸ˜‰

My first blogger conference…yay forΒ BLEND!!

That LIFE-CHANGING grilled cheese from that foodΒ truckΒ festival

My first pancakeΒ FEATUREΒ on foxnews.com

That time I went crazy and put beets in EVERY thing

My weekend GETAWAY to St. Louis

My first UNDERGROUND supper club experience…thank you Laura!

Oh, and then there’s the fact that I’ve finally found my footing when it comes to food photography…

Head on over to my Recipage for all the recipes!

Now here’s hoping Nikki and I will have just as tight of a bond as Bertha and I did. While we take the weekend off to get to know each other, I thought I’d leave you with something to help show all my thanks for your support over the last two years…

I’ve teamed up with one of my favorite blog-loving companies, Chobani, to help ring in a bloggy birthday like no other…

Chobani is the BEST!Β They are by far the most interactive when it comes to the blogging community (without them, BLEND would never have been possible) and I consider myself VERY lucky to have worked with them so many times in the past.

They are SO great in fact, that they are willing to give one lucky KMB reader a FULL CASE of their 6oz Greek yogurt cups!

And the winner gets to choose the flavor(s) it comes stocked with!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Giveaway is only open to US residents and will close Friday, December 7th at midnight…which is actually MY birthday…yay!

I love you guys and I hope you have a HAPPY weekend! πŸ˜€
