Gettin’ Fizzy Wit It!

I am participating in a sponsored campaign hosted by Emergen-C® I received compensation for this post. While all opinions stated are my own, I make no claims about Emergen-C as a product or its effectiveness.

It’s NO secret that I love me some Emergen-C!

So when I had the opportunity to apply for a FitFluential campaign supporting this fun, fizzy vitamin drink, I jumped at the chance…then literally jumped UP and DOWN in my seat (you can ask my mom) when I got the email saying I’d been selected.

Emergen-C Flavors

I’ve been using Emergen-C fizzy drink mixes for years now and love them! When it comes to taking vitamins, I try to convince myself, but the truth is, I absolutely HATE taking pills. So when I’m not chewing on my gummy vitamins, I’m stirring up a bubbly little beverage to get my day started off right!

Until receiving my boxes to review from the company, I had already tried about half of the flavors including the super orange and tropical. While pink lemonade* has always been my favorite flavor, I was really excited to try the lemon-lime for the first time and now, I have a NEW favorite flavor!

*Part of the proceeds from each box of Emergen-C Pink are donated to fund breast cancer awareness, research, and prevention efforts.

Emergen-C Lemon Lime Fizz

The one thing I love most about Emergen-C’s immune supporting* supplements is that along with 1000mg of vitamin C*, it also has a TON of other vitamins and minerals, including B vitamins that help support my natural energy levels*.

Emergen-C + ACV

About a year or so ago, I started using Emergen-C to make my “morning mocktails”. I firmly believe in starting my day with a shot of apple cider vinegar, but let’s face it, that stuff on its own isn’t something ANYONE looks forward to. But? Throw it in a glass with  a bit of water and a packet of Emergen-C and BOOM, tastes delicious!

Emergen-C + ACV.

Since it only takes a minute to stir up, these mixes are perfect for quick mornings before I head out to the gym. Emergency also has quite a few recipes on their website that I’m anxious to try…Lemon-lime guacamole? Orange Dreamsicles?

Pink PANCAKES?!?!

I know, you’re drooling all over yourself, aren’t you?

Emergen-C 3 Months

Well…lucky for [ONE of] you because the company has graciously offered to give a FREE three-month supply of Emergen-C drink mixes along with this Zeus-irific stainless steel water bottle to one lucky KMB reader!

Confessions of a Busy Blogger

Umm, hi.

So I promise AGAIN that I’m still alive! Life just seems to be getting the better of me lately…though not all in a bad way. While I’ve put in over 50 hours at work in the last FIVE days, haven’t seen the yoga studio in over a week, and my house looks like a train wreck, I can’t really complain about life right now. Sure things have been a little crazy, but in a new, exciting, hardly-any-time-for-pictures sort of crazy. Which is something TOTALLY different for me because well, after three years of blogging, it’s odd for me to live a moment without thinking about how I can fit it into a post and well, let’s face it, I take pictures of everything!

So this leads me to a few confessions. But first…

Public Banana Selfie

A shameless selfie complete with #publicbanana to get things started! 😉

I totally ganked this post title from Chelsea.

Today is the first day I’ve opened my computer since Thursday…and that was just to join Amanda’s link up with a post I’d actually written on Tuesday.

I haven’t read a blog innnn…well, since my last broccoli bombing, but calling out a few of my blends helps me feel a little less guilty about it.

I skipped going to the farmers’ market a couple of weeks ago because I’d yet to do anything with 90% of the haul I came back with the week before. Bound and determined to actually COOK something this week, instead of living off cereal and Quest bars, I loaded up on Saturday…

Farmer's Market Haul

Annnnnd…the furthest I’ve gotten is throwing one squash and pepper in the oven, roasting them, covering them in melted cheese, and calling it a meal.

Progress NOT perfection! 😆

Since I had to work on the 4th of July, I got together with some friends and family on the 3rd and celebrated in style complete with homemade ice cream AND peach cobbler!

Peach Cobbler

Neither of which I had a hand in. But I did mix up a MEAN batch of boxed brownies! And then I totally took the one in the middle before anyone could get a shot at it!

With the exception of some pictures that will be going up with an EXCITING post on Friday (I don’t want to GIVE anything AWAY, but you may want check back for that!), I haven’t touched Nikki the Nikon in over a month!

And after perusing the pictures in my photo library for this post, I just noticed that instead of food, most of the shots I’ve felt compelled to take lately look something like this…

Sunset

I guess you could say I’ve finally learned how to stop and smell the roses see at the sunsets! 😉

What would you like to confess today? C’mon, it’s fun!

What was the last picture you took?

Thinking About…ME!

A lot can be said about a little self-indulgment.

I’ve never understood people who say they can’t buy something for themselves without feeling guilty. While I do tend to get caught up in the routine of life, it doesn’t take long before my inner Veruca Salt starts clearing her throat.

For someone who’s a cheap ass bargain hunter when it comes to most things, over the last few weeks, I’ve started to see things a little differently…hence paying $2 for ONE freaking persimmon! 😉 I mean, you only live once right? And you sure as heck can’t take the money with you when your dead! So I might as well get myself that goose and fry up some golden eggs…or uh, something like that! 😉

Which is probably why I decided it was a good idea to buy all my friends “party accessories” before our campfire last weekend and force them all to look as nerdy as me all night!

Glowstick Glasses Selfie

Glow stick duck face FTW!

Or why, after logging in to Open Sky JUST to change my email preferences, I ended up pausing for half a second to notice the words “$40 credit” floating up at the top of the screen…and then proceeding to spend $50!

Open Sky Tees

But c’mon, these tanks KICK ASS, no?

Or why, while shopping for the besties birthday present last weekend, I decided to add yet ANOTHER bottle to my ever-growing collection.

Wine Collection

With this label? How could I not?!

Or why, since hanging out with my music soul mate more, I’ve gotten a little trigger clicker happy when it comes to indulging in my newest addiction…

Remix Faves

Remix ALL THE SONGS!

And of course, what would all that fun be without sharing a little? It’s been on my workout playlist for months but this…

Ugh, and doesn’t Sam Smith’s voice just make you all toodly in your bits?

Granted, self-pampering doesn’t always have to come with a price tag. I’ve been having my fair share of FREE fun too…sleeping in until 11am, indulging in a little afternoon run in the rain, spending hours at the library, or giving myself a little pedicure…and that was all last Sunday!

Thinking-Out-Loud

Big thanks to Amanda for hosting my favorite Thursday’s linkup and for giving me a good way to mix things up from my usual randomness! Be sure to hop on over to Spoons and check out all the other random thoughts going on today!

What was the last treat you bought for yourself?

What was the last FREE thing you did for yourself?
