Christmas Breakfast Recipe Roundup

Happy TWO days before Christmas!

So, after mentioning panCOOKIES yesterday, I spent the next hour or so walking clicking DROOLING down memory lane via my Recipage! While I seem to have been on a holiday recipe hiatus these last few weeks, I DO have quite a collection of delicious eats from holidays past…and UNsurprisingly, most of them are breakfast!

Christmas Breakfast RoundupI mean, it IS the most important meal of the day! 😀

Since my family decided on doing brunch for our Christmas Day meal, I’ve been going back and forth on what to make, but I finally “decided” on going with something that will ALSO pair well with eggs and bacon and the other half-dozen items my mom will inevitably put on the table…

Whether you want to start the day decadently like me or go a little lighter to save room for dinner, I’m sure I’ve got something for you! Why don’t we take a gaaaaaander?

  1. Can you just come over and make my family breakfast? We have champagne and lots of desserts!

  2. All of these pancakes look fantastic! My family always has fresh fruit, coffee cake and usually eggs for Christmas breakfast. The coffee cake is my dad’s families recipe and I look forward to it every year. I made a spiced nut/pretzel mix and cookies this year for a few of my gifts. I love making and receiving homemade gifts.

  3. Can.not.decide. Aaaah! These look all so PRETTY!! i wouldn’t even want to eat them, just photographing and drooling! But yeah, the gingerbread cookie pancakes definitely are my favorite, followed by Whole Wheat Gingerbread Pancakes.
I’m actually giving my first e-cookbooklets this christmas! I swear, it was so much work (collecting the best recipes, TRANSLATE them into German and formate with the pics – I’m almost hairless!!). Let’s see if it was worth it!!

Oh wow, what a great gift and SO thoughtful!! I’m sure they will LOVE it!

Love you girlie!! Hope you have a very merry Christmas! 😀

  4. Purelytwins says:

yummy, making us crave pancakes 🙂
haven’t decided what breakfast will be – thinking donuts!

  5. I might have to make those detox pancakes! They sound so good. I tried making green pancakes with spinach before but they turned into mush… oops! Thanks for rounding all of these up!

  6. Mom says:

I think Chocolate covered orange pancakes….or BLT quiche….but dad thinks real men don’t eat quiche…however, he has never eaten a quiche and we have been married FOREVER!!! hmmmmmm…would both be too much??!!!! I think we should talk!!!

  7. You truly do make the BEST pancakes and theeee prettiest ones..hands down!

  8. I’ve been singing a pancake song to myself while reading this post.

  9. Robyn :) says:

I am having Lucky Charms for Christmas breakfast lol.

I am giving plates of cookies to 4 people this year.

  10. So, I thought I had decided on some cinnamon-raisin french toast for breakfast, but now you have me seriously second guessing that decision. AKA: your chocolate chip protein pancakes. Want them.

  11. Holllllyy yum, my friend! My Christmas breakfast (tomorrow!!) will probably be a breakfast bake topped with chocolate cream and blueberries. Heaaaaven! Or I may have to whip up a batch of our gingerbread pancakes!

  12. These all look delicious and are equally as beautiful. Man you have a way with photos and breakfast. I hope some mimosas make their way to your brunch table on Christmas morning.

I made granola for my coworkers (actually the Hubby did because I’ve been down with the sickness, in a bad way), caramelized onion and roasted garlic pasta sauce and rosemary salt for all the parents, and we will be making scones for the neighbors. Hopefully this weekend, since it didn’t happen today.

    • kissmybroccoli says:

Aww, I’m guessing you don’t mean that in a rocking out sort of way do ya? ♫ Get up, come on get down with the sickness! ♫ 😉 But seriously, I hope you’re feeling better, love! I can’t say I’m surprised though…with your hours and all that stress…your body can only take so much! Please tell me you get a long Christmas weekend to recover before having to go back to the chaos!

And yes, there will most DEFINITELY be mimosas…although they may not be very “bubbly” since I still have the bottle of champagne from my birthday! Lol

  13. haha i have one of these going up tomorrow!

  14. You’ve thought of everything! We are doing brunch at my grandmothers and I’m tempted to try one of these great pancake recipes, but my grandmothers are so good I don’t even want to try and compete! Maybe I will try the detox pancakes the next day! 🙂

  15. natasha says:

Hmmm…feel free to send me any of the above….must be a way to ship them.

I’m alone with two dogs for a beautiful house-sitting gig for Christmas so I have no clue what I’ll have for breakfast. I usually do more of a brunch cause my appetite is blah in the morning.

Please please please send me some of these…even though they won’t make it by Christmas I can pretend and re-enact it all (:

  16. Julia says:

My gosh, this post is making me excited for Christmas for the breakfast alone! I want it all! I hope you have a wonderful holiday, my dear! 🙂

  17. All of your recipes look delicious!! A Christmas Day brunch sounds awesome – enjoy!! 🙂

  18. I wrote about breakfast too this morning. Love you pancake recipes—it’s been way too long since I’ve made any. I’m giving some edible gifts this year. Making myself wait to post the recipe until after Christmas has been sooo hard! Have a wonderful holiday : )

  19. Too.much.yum 😯 I usually just have oatmeal or cereal for breakfast on Christmas day since I wake up so ridiculously early, but once brunch hits, I’m all about the crepes stuffed with cream cheese and jam… Now you’ve got me craving pancakes, though… I may just have to knock that craving out when lunch time rolls around today 😉

  20. OMG.

    PLEASE DO MORE ROUNDUPS.

I have bookmarked FOUR pancake recipes to make in the coming week- Starting with those gingerbread ones! Geeze, you are an absolute machine.

Christmas morning I actually did eat pancakes- although they were a failed attempt at Turkish Delight pancakes…more like Turkish insult pancakes.

  21. I swear I almost got stopped at the border trying to cross over with a suitcase full of edible Christmas gifts. They thought I was trying to smuggle in drugs or something hidden in bags of cookies and granola…success! Just kidding, just the food made it which is in itself crack. I love food gifts because if my friends are feeling generous I can eat them too!

Hope you had a nice holiday with the fam, lovely!

  22. That pumpkin pie yogurt stopped me dead in my tracks. Holy delicious.

Do you know when those movies show scenes in the trailers that aren’t actually in the movies and were just cut? And those books that promise a conclusion only to leave you with more questions and a horrible cliffhanger?

Thank you for not being like them 😉 I was worried that the yogurt was going to just be an “example” of something you’ve eaten recently. Happily pinning NOW.
