Oops, I did it again? 😉
I know you’re probably not all that surprised to see the combo of peanut butter and pumpkin on the blog AGAIN, but you know I just can’t help myself! Though I REFUSE to put this in the category of just another boring food phase because this wrap…oh my gosh, you guys…SWOON-WORTHY!
This was IN FACT a mouthgasmic moment.
With its sweet creamy filling, the smooooooooooth drizzle of coca sauce, and my GENIUS decision to top it off with peanuts and cereal “sprinkles”…hmm, I should trademark that…I was ohh’ing and ahh’ing my way to bliss…all the way up to the moment where I licked the plate clean. 😉
Peanut Butter Pumpkin Banana Wrap
Prep Time: 5-10 minutes
Cook Time: N/A
Keywords: breakfast dessert snack high fiber dairy-free high protein #strangebutgood
Ingredients (Serves 1)
- 1 whole wheat tortilla
- 2 Tablespoons peanut flour + water (or almond milk) to thin to a peanut butter consistency OR 2 Tablespoons of creamy peanut butter
- 2 Tablespoons pumpkin puree (not pie filling) + cinnamon
- 1 medium banana
- 2 Tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons water (or almond milk)
- 5-7 drops liquid stevia (or other preferred sweetener)
- Crushed peanuts and cereal for topping
1. Lay tortilla flat on a plate and spread with peanut flour mixture (or peanut butter), leaving 1 inch around the outer rim.
2. Spread the pumpkin puree on top of peanut flour mixture and sprinkle with cinnamon.
3. Place whole banana on top and carefully roll together.
4. Slice in half with a serrated knife.
5. Combine cocoa powder sauce and drizzle over top (or use it as a DIP!)
6. Sprinkle with crushed peanuts and cereal.
Feel free to omit the pumpkin if you’re crazy enough not to be a fan of my favorite winter tanning ingredient (coughMeghancough) and just use peanut butter if you don’t have any peanut flour handy. Then you can head on over to iHerb with my promo code (QQQ940), order up a bag (or ten), and then you’ll FINALLY see why I’m not even kidding when I say I want to be buried in the stuff! 😉
Just please, for the love of all things holy, DO NOT leave out the chocolate or the “sprinkles”…because well, those make everything better!
And so does joining up with my long-lost #strangebutgood foodies! Oh and look, I got to use my favorite vandalized button again! 😀 Be sure to head over to Sprint 2 the Table and check out all the other creative concoctions for the week!
Ok, just one more pic before I go…
Gah, WHY do I have to be out of tortillas now?!
What is your plan for this weekend? Will it involve PUMPKIN? 😉
Please tell me I’m not the only one still eating it!
This looks like absolute heaven – it makes me sad that I have no low carb wraps left 🙁 I need to order some more from the U.S…the UK needs to hop onto this bandwagon!
Heather, you should be a full time food stylist! You are AMAZING! This looks heavenly 🙂
Aww, thank you, Liz!! You just made my day! 🙂
Words cannot explain how much I LOVE pumpkin and peanut butter!!!! And choclate and banana too? Wow. I seriously don’t think anything could be more delicious!
I think we could be very good friends, you and I! 😉
It’s a miracle, I actually have all of the ingredients for these! Also, please tell me that you submitted those pictures to FoodGawker and that they were accepted because…WOW! 🙂
Haha! Not yet, I’m a bit anal so I’m trying to backtrack and submit my posts in order…I’m still working on summer recipes! Ha! But I’ll be crossing my fingers that these get accepted once I finally catch up to real time! 😀
I am a fan of recycled vandalism! 😉 Wraps are the best – I may so something like it for breakfast now… but with strawberries ’cause I’m out of nanners.
I loved waking up and seeing your version! And thanks SO much for linking me up, love! I didn’t go to bed until LATE so yeah, there was no way I was going to be awake by 5am when this went live! Ha!
Uh these sound SO good! Thanks for posting a recipe with pumpkin… now you’ve given me the courage to post the one that I have written up too. I thought everyone would be tired of pumpkin by now so I was a bit afraid 😉
Heck no! Let ‘er rip, girlie! I actually have ANOTHER pumpkin recipe in the works if that makes you feel even better! 😉
Well you know I retired pumpkin a few months ago but peanut butter never dies! I’m loving your wrap obsession. Keep em’ coming!
This has solidified that I need peanut flour in my life. It’s kind of ridiculous that I don’t have it yet… any way I know for a fact that PB, pumpkin, and chocolate are a delicious combo, so I know this wrap would be amazing, too! I love the styling you did with this photo, too. I think the chocolate drizzles look like perfection.
Aww, thanks Ang! I was pretty shocked with how great the photos actually turned out since I took them in a hurry and then cleaned the plate in a matter of minutes! Ha!
And you will most definitely NOT regret the peanut flour! I honestly can’t picture myself going without it!
So I can’t even remember the last time I had pumpkin, but this recipe is definitely making me think that I need to change that. Pumpkin and peanut butter is a surprisingly amazing combo!
yum!!! this sounds (and looks) amazing!!
That looks x-rated. Amazing! I may be able to concoct something similar (using a pancake instead of a wrap that I don’t have!?) seeing as I DO have some pumpkin kicking around! Get sick of it? Never! That’s love right there 😉
Okay so now I am convinced.
I have that lone jar of pumpkin collecting dust in the back of my cabinet and it’s gonna come out this weekend for sure because peanut butter.
I really have to try the combo.
Haha! Nice! I feel like I won some kind of award or something! Ahem….I’d like to take a minute to thank the academy of Libbians who concocted such smooth and delicious squashiness! 😉
My pumpkin addiction is always year round so this weekend will infect include pumpkin. Either in the form of Coffee or your Wrap because it looks delicious 😯 Other plans include; reading, relaxing and working!
Sounds like my kind of weekend! …well, except for the whole working part! booooooo!
THIS IS HEAVEN IN A WRAP.
i actually have all the ingredients for this. Wow. I never think about sweet stuff with a tortilla. it just doesn’t compute in my brain. but i love all the ingredients so I will give this a whirl 🙂
My weekends always involve pumpkin sista!! 🙂 It’s one of my favorite things and this looks awesome. Not to mention the photography looks really beautiful!
Alright! *fist bump* to a fellow pumpkin lover! And thank you so much…I was pretty proud of how the pics came out since I just snapped them up in a couple of minutes before I devoured the plate in ohhhhhh about 2 minutes! Ha!
Anything drizzled in chocolate is good. Wink wink ;).
Bahahaha! Can’t say I would argue that one! 😉
Seriously woman, just come live with me. I’ll do all your laundry, I’ll braid your hair, shoot I’ll even do the dishes, just PLEASE be my chef. Good heavens lady it is cruel and unusual punishment what you do to me with these pictures! Now I’m stuck at freaking work all day thinking about how I have all these ingredients in my pantry at home…. just waiting…. and waiting….
Ok, DEAL!! And for the record, you totally had me sold with braiding my hair! Lol!
This seriously sounds amazing! Pumpkin, peanut butter and bananas are all at the top of my favorite foods list. I like the idea of a chocolate drizzle over top as well!
how do you make the “cocoa powder sauce”?
Just mix the cocoa powder with the water (or almond milk) and the stevia…whisk until smooth! 😀
I am so so glad to see I am not the only person pulling out the ol’ pumpkin post Christmas. This looks delectable!
Is it bad that sometimes mid-summer I could totally go for some kind of pumpkin dish? Also, pumpkin+sage = good. Or, pumpkin + hummus… Or, pumpkin + spoon…
Haha! Oh heck yeah, a fellow pumpkin passioneer! <- Um, that is totally a word now...yup! 😉 I've actually got another pumpkin-ified recipe that I plan to post this week...stay tuned! Love pumpkin and hummus (or a spoon)! Have you ever tried using pumpkin (+ some spices) for a pizza base instead of tomato sauce? It's great!
I have!! I have also crafted a pumpkin based salad dressing and a sauce for pasta (I do not eat much past now, but when I did!) Pumpkin Roasted Chickpeas, is something else I made once. YAAMMY.
Where I live, there is a local bakery and they sell pumpkin muffins…
It is like a burst of pumpkin amazingness amid your mouth!
Oh my LORD!!! I’m sorry, I’m stuck on the oozing picture of that butter tart! 😯 Holy YUM!!
Wait, did you say…salad dressing?! 😀
RIGHT!? They’re fantastic, 100% GF foods made right in my backyard :] AND I KNOW. Their carrot cakes makes me shiver of joy.
AND I DID my beautiful little broccoli! Never thought of that one? Think: dried cranburrries, think sweeet tater, think toasted almond and roasted chickpeas and cinnamon… drizzled with a pumpkin balsamic dressing <3
Um yeah, I just hit the floor! The roasted chickpeas and cinnamon was the killer for me! 😉
Looks amazing. We tried last night for light dinner and I substituted pumpkin with cottage cheese since my boyfriend does not like pumpkin that much(in spite of my craving for pumpkin). It is sooooo good! I will definitely make it again. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Oh YESSSS!! Cottage cheese and peanut butter is another one of my favorite combos! If you like that, you should try this: English muffin + cottage cheese + peanut butter + honey = AHHHHHHHHmazing deliciousness! 😉
Ahhh~English muffin is one of my favs! I never thought of this savory sweet combo. Thank you! It must be delicious!
Mmmm yes! The combo of pumpkin, banana, and peanut butter (okay, soy or almond butter for me) is unbeatable! That’s pretty much my favourite oatmeal combination right there. It looks amazing in wrap form too!
I think I need to shove this in my face immediately.
This is actually just porn. Ohhhh my god. Yum.

Oh my goodness. You just made my mouth water completely and my tummy grumble beyond what sounds normal. I am going to try this soon, because guess who just stocked up on tortillas finally? This girl! 😀
Woo HOO! Get yo’ wrap on, girrrrrrl! <- Um, yeah, sorry...it's late...I have no other excuse for that! 😉
yum yum yum yum yuuuuuuuuuuuuum! This sounds like heaven – and I bet it’d be even better with nutella!
Oh my friend!! I need to get me some GF wraps asap!! Delicious. I can never get enough pumpkin! I actually like wraps like these with collard greens… weird right? 😉
No, not at all! I actually do too, but it’s been AGES since I’ve made one! Collard greens are definitely on the next grocery store list! 🙂
I still haven’t cooked up my pumpkin. I hope he’s ok hanging in my basement. I do love a good old #publicbanana though and these photos were about as scandalous as you can get. Side profile, head on, crushed nuts….you are shameless. It’s one of my favorite things about you. 🙂
Haha! And THIS is one of my favorite things about you! You make such an innocent post seem so dirrrrrrrty! Haha! Do it again, do it again! 😉
Ummm…brilliant! Such a wonderful combination, and I can never get tired of pumpkin!!!
Crazy coincidence- the packers came today to move my stuff into storage in Sydney until I find a place and in one box was 2 of the bigger packs of peanut flour, 2 cans of pumpkin and 2 tins of coconut flour. They were perplexed.
This combination looks amazing- I love making a spread of pumpkin, peanut flour and protein powder and with the added banana AND chopped peanuts? Winner Heather. Winner.
Haha! Well, I think that’s a sign if there ever was one that you need this wrap in your life like YESTERDAY! 😉
